He posts 4ghz w/ 1.5v and expects that to excite people? Please, any 940 BE could do that for a cpu-z screenshot.

C3 is better than that, by far.
full boot from bios........

The thing is, if an impatient idiot can get that clock stable on C3, (whereas before all they could get was 3.6-3.7) then the people who spend days wringing the last drop out of a chip will stand to see even greater gains.
At least I hope so.
Is it stable at 4.0 1.500v anyway if someone understand the language? I see only cpu-z screen... In his last post http://murobbs.plaza.fi/1703842278-post54.html he is running 3DMark06 4.15 with 1.475V NB 2900, this looks to me like cpu introduction on the fly, +1 for daellum67
I hear rumor the new nicname for the 965 C3 is going to be 'Jack"
For Jack the giant killer!:D
you guys see the letter?
they claim 4.3ghz is possible on high end air/watercooling

In about 2 days, there will be a lot of 4.3Ghz air screen shots with C3. Then all will be quiet before those 6 cores cpu shows up its ugly heads:)
Not long ago everybody waited for FX57 BN and FX 60 showed up:D
Titan: Nice document. Whau, whau. Hope today coming my chip, i cant waiting next days :-/...
tbh I'm more interested in the 555's and the C3 triples than the 965's. I assume, that because yields are high on these deneb chips (even 5000+'s will unlock and OC stable), that those could pack some serious punch for their relatively low price.
w7 x64 is easier to get good suicide shots in for me at least
vista x64 was hell on these chips
Lol dudes, it was his FIRST BOOT , should he know what PII 965 C3 will OC just he looks the CPU ?
And if you didn't notice, he has windows 7 ultimate 64bit, i hope he will install XP so he can OC more, i think he will..
Ps. EnJoy => http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=496913
And it wasn't max what that chip can OC, i thought i would score much better with M3A79-T Deluxe mobo, but that was sh*t, very dissapointed.
He isnt under NDA.. His job was just test air cooling capabilities and report to murobbs forum (its AMD present for muroBBS :D Asmola is regular forum user and lucky one)

TWKR wil be forgotten in 2 days ;)
wtf?:) English please :)
Noo :D
U think someone here can read finnish ? I quess not. :p:
e.
Mäggäri thought Migu reads MuroBBS with googletranslate or something. ^^
e2.
AND AMD wanted to give PII 965 C3 someone who to MuroBBS reader, who uses AMD etc, i think u get it, so Asmola was lucky one and he was first who wanted it and he did get it, AMD wants that Asmola run test etc and post scores to MuroBBS forum..
Sorry my bad english but I hope u did get it. :)
Second sample does 4000 core / 2800 uncore 100% stable on 1.45 V core / 1,375 V uncore :) thats on first boot mind you :D
Kampele, Migu06 is from Finland. I was just laughing at the translates which that google-application makes. =D Funny to read.
First off, yes my ass is pretty smart! My wife is always telling me that's where my brains are and I'm constantly sitting on them.
High heat will kill electronics. Just because a manufacturer specs a chip out to 80 deg C, should you run that chip at 80 deg C for long periods of time? Why would AMD or Intel go through any trouble to certify a factory HSF for sale to the masses if they could just put any old crappy HSF in the retail box? Ever notice how a factory HSF will keep the CPU atleast 20 deg C (under load/stock vcore) cooler than the max temperature allowed?
Heck, why do datacenters even bother spending massive amounts of money on cooling when they could just let all their systems heat up to the max?
