Ugh. Great price at NCIXUS but I can only order 1 set of 4GB :(
I wanted 3 of them for 12GB. ARGH!!!
Anyone know if this set at newegg is MGH-E too?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=AX3U2000XB2G9
Part number is AX3U2000XB2G9-EF, A-Data website lists it as X Series Version 2.0... the RAM this thread is about is the X Series regular. Hrmmmm.
they could use Hypers on PR samples, but retail 2x2gb kit I have here is sure BBSE
most likely Elpida BBSE - got 10x2GB A-Data 2000X tested http://i4memory.com/f83/12gb-data-20...testing-20350/
Got mine 2 x 2GB set today :)
Part number is AX3U2000XB2G9-2X, first test will be on Maximus Extreme, then after new year on P55. We will se what this ram can do not only on new platforms

@#$(*%! No words...:eek2:
Your sticks are different you have hypers. The ones I had (sent back to the egg for a refund), were only 124.99 a set. That is way too cheap for hypers. They would only boot with the specified timings of 9-9-9-24, any thing else my system would not even boot. I should have jumped on the ADATA 2133's from memoryC but I already purchased the dominator GT's.
definately bbse not hypers
and doesnt like volts over 1.75v
cant get 2k cas 8 or cas 9 on rex
i think they will do 2k cas8 on p55 will be testin
Both BBSE & MGH-E should scale with voltage, and work at 1.8V+ just fine, and if I'm reading things right you're trying them on X38/X48 which might be the issue for the limited frequencies.
A lot of BBSE's can hit DDR3-2300+ C8/9 on X58/P55, so try them on a P55/X58 mobo before reaching into conclusions.
For the chips now, I think you'll have to be lucky to pick MGH-E kits because A-data was sending kits with the same p/n months ago with BBSE chips and they recently switched to MGH-E's.
I'll send my contact an e-mail and see if there's a way to identify the chips without opening the package.
