nope
i used very often 2.1V too
and it didnt degrade
eevry volt gave more power
My 6G set is doing great after at least six months of good beatings now with no loss. Great stix.
Thanks for the responses! So 1.55v on the memory controller shouldn't cause premature death? I doubt I'd push any harder than that. What kind of timings/speeds were you able to get?
My set can do 2150 8-8-8-20 1T at about 1.72v no problem at that qpi v. It also runs at 1680 at 6-7-6-20 at 1.68v QPI 1.38v rather smooth.
^^ what kind of cooling are you using for those volts on the vdimm? water or ln2?
I run mine with just the standard Gskill cooling fan with no problem.
The standard 3 stick 6G set. I have had it running for about 9 months now now problems.
Anyone know how to remove the heatspreaders for this perfectstorm?
Criminal, whem will you review the new ATI serie?
@ op or hiwa, Would u say these are better then the ripjaws?? Only thing these dont come in 4gb modules..
Hey guys, I have been messing with 2 sets of these in a R2E with a 920. Actually didn't too much ram testing in yet, but was able to do 1600 6,7,6 timings on a 920 @ 200 bclk, 21 multi. I stupidly didn't take any screenshots before I tore the system down. My system is in a home built case with a steel frame, and one of my weld joints broke. When I put it back together, I was going to put in a rev1 UD7 board and a 970. Is the UD7 known to be a good ram clocker?
The UD7 is an awesome board though Asus seems to hold there own very well with mem clocking. In my RIIIE I have had my 6G set of perfect storm as high as 1912mhz at 6-7-6-21 no problem or 2250mhz at 8-9-8-21. Its actually faster then this new 4G set of F3-17600CL7D that I tested last night which is very fast as well. Very good quality ram for the money.
sorry for posting on a very very old thread, but does anyone know if 9-9-9 2133 perfect storm are hypers like in op, or are any good? (chance of working on sb?)
EDIT: nvm found the answer.. sorry for the post :(
