Or take the route that stays in the US and I was told last night that it's pretty close in time to the route that goes thru canada..

We should just buy that little piece of Canada with our Chinese backed bonds.
I've done CT to Ann Arbor via Canada and via Penn/Ohio, they're really close in time (I forget which was faster). Driving through Pennsylvania is a drag though, such a long state....and the radio stations on I-80 don't usually last for more than a song or two (not that they're any good anyway)
Going to Detroit is faster via Canada just because Detroit is essentially bordering Canada. Though I'm not sure how much going from NH makes a difference....maybe half an hour? You still have to take I-90 and from where I live in CT to where I get onto I-90 is a pretty short distance.
EDIT: according to Google Maps, Manchester to Ann Arbor is 12:52 via Kings Highway (Canada), 13:24 via NY/Ohio (I-90), 13:51 via Penn/Ohio (I-80, which probably will be under construction anyway). So only 30min extra to stay in the USA, not bad  No dealing with the border either, which is always a plus in my book :p:
I thought of this as well, but didn't want to critique others travel plans. A friend of mine used to travel between Ann Arbor and Buffalo weekly. He told me it was about 1 hour difference (meaning about 1 hour shorter via Canada). As your stated, for how far you are traveling it really isn't that big of a difference.
Ahh, understood.
When I say big money I'm thinking at least 4 figures to the left of the decimal point and even in US dollars that is enough for me to tackle one of these guys and get him into a dress!
Yes. I looked and I'd just go south once I got to buffalo and around the southern side of the lake.
No passport issues or waiting at the border but maybe a little longer in miles.
That will be an awsome weekend , i wish you guys the best . Brake some WRs guys but most of all have fun while doing it , this type of gathering its what brings the community closer to each other :yepp:. If you guys can get Jody to a half way sleep trance , he works better on half sleep daze mode . Enjoy it guys . So Gautam will be cheerleader :ROTF:
Anyone passing through buffalo is welcome to use my pisser
I would suggest going south of lake erie to get to michigan. As already stated its not much more driving time, and the border is usually a mess if your gonna cross here in Buffalo.
We are sending some EVGA shirts down to vince too so you don't leave empty handed :D
I messaged vince since I'm In kalamazoo. So it won't be too hard to get there.
Drove NY to Lansing in 9hrs one winter night in '02. It was a Sunday and the cops were probably focusing on staying warm. Anyway, I had to make it back in time for classes and the roads were virtually deserted so I stood on it. I reckon guys could shave 2-3 hrs off those times without even speeding. Just watch out for those state troopers in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland, Ohio), they have the hots for everybody Michigan-bound, football season or not.
Barring no unforeseen emergencies I'll be there - just for the opportunity to hang out with legends. Anything else will be a plus.
Should be a killer event
How bout UT '99 Vince? I'm an old skool shock ho :D
Now if Charles is coming from Las Vegas we definately got to have MikeGuava there too.
:scope:
