almost 7ghz congrats! for a moment there, thought that 49k was in 3dmark06 hehe
with such frequency you could take some of chew's 2D records heh

Amazing scores!
And, is that score from mike right?
I mean, 50K at only 4.2GHz?
Great to see, esepcially with gpu's at stock!
It's a little bit hairy running helium. I came prepared with modded cards and gpu units reay to bench LN2 on them, but we just ran out of time. Alot of the benching was done live and my demo was really about showcasing what the new silicon can do with liquid helium cooling technology. Aaron's LHe pot was really cool. Alot of science behind it. With helium the rules change a little and it really needs a specially designed pot to make the cooling product stretch as much as possible.
Congrats Vince.
wow! Outstanding scores, Vince! Congrats on AMD WRs :toast:
Those are some killer scores once again Vince!
I hope you can go back and finally find a CPU that does 7GHz... :D
One question left: Will you post your results on hwbot?
Great work Vince nice to see you breaking records again!
astonishing results :slobber: looks like an awesome session with lots of fun :toast:
very impressive Kingpin, next round hope 7GHz :)
Superior as usual, congrats! ;)
Some details about RAM settings you used? Validations shows DDR3-1808 7-7-7-20 as a side product, but no further details here. IMC benefits from LHe compared to LN2 maybe? :)
nice result..there vince..
and nice LNē dewar too :)
so whre's is it? a convention ?
Looks like a lot of fun, good to see amd back in the game competing at 2k6. Any other screen shots to post? Im sure there are more pics?
lol I used to lift wieghts alot, not anymore though. 330+ bench, 400+ squat, 400+ deadlift. I am a twig now compared to 8 yrs ago ;)
-235c loaded was the sweet spot really. You run helium gas to build up the PSI and flow rate and get various loaded temps. That is ultimately what determines your best loaded temp, so it's a feeling out process depending on the chip being used as what it needs. I would prime the system with LN2 first, getting it stable at close to max clock then keeping the unit temps as cold as possible close to -185c, you switch to helium then start bringing up the pressure. The atmospheric pressure in the pot is key.
kingpin, so how did you like liquid helium experience? I loved it when the temperature dropped below -200C first time.. and system kept running just fine. And after the tests there were some liquid air in the pot and dripping from insulation :D
It was cool Sampsa. Fist time I saw the pot go below -200c, it was simply amazing. The way the helium roars up and expands into a gas so rapidly is really insane. This experience has ruined me because now LN2 benching is weak compared to that :D.
I talked to Sami on the phone right when I hit that 06 score, was pretty cool. I also got to watch your guys vegas video about ten million times on loop hehe
