Particle, LMK what's the exact model of that OCZ kit, I might be able to check what ICs are on them.
Model OCZ3P20004GK
Honestly bios's are coming out so fast and frequently at this time that its hard to keep up with.....
I have plans to test the latest public bios with the same ram and see if I can get the same clocks........the problem was I put 3 days into dialing that ram in and did not have time to sit down with that ram again with lates public for 3 days before release.......
I however did all ln2 results on the latest public release.....with my gskills I lost nothing in the ram clocking deapartment and if anything gained a little.
The bios I was using on the ddr II board I gave them the OK to release shortly after I reviewed the board.......I will have to check the latest retail when I get a chance to see if its the same......
Hey, Chew hows the G-Skill doing on AMD these days? Also what chips are they using on the sticks?
Thanks/................Campbell;)
My budget sticks are knocking out an average 100mhz clock no matter what bios I've used......No clue what ic's they are. I know they are not partial to voltage.....1.75 about max they tolerate so I'm guessing not micron, maybe high bin non hyper elpidas or quimondas or some variant of samsung.....Not HFC0
Trying to get my hands on a set of 2000's that is on the QVL list for the gigabyte......Hoping to pull some nice numbers with those (F3-16000CL9T-3GBPI-B)
Really my taste has changed, I'm not to fond of 2x1gig anymore, not even for benching. Might try these out, they are also on this list....OCZ3N1800SR4GK
I see. In any case, I am still limited to the non memory friendly bios in order to use the 4th core so my mem testing will have to wait until either a modded bios comes out or I get a 955. :-)
