Yeah, I'm not sure. As best I can guess, it used to have 8 ports and supported SAS drives, but then they changed it or something and now it only has the 4 ports and apparently doesn't support SAS drives or VRs anymore. The pictures on Newegg don't seem to have been updated for the 4 port version, which seems to be what they are selling now. :shrug:
Whatever, as long as you didn't have any issues with the SSDs and laptop drives, then that's good enough for me.

defo no probs here. Works really well. Really like the single molex power connector for all 4 drives too.
