Here's a shot of the front panel power pinout from when I did my G5 mod. I just soldered to the middle and far pads, and didn't touch the closer of them (I marked the pads I needed to solder to with a sharpie).:

Here's my Build log in case you need any more idea's, though I think you pretty well have my mod beat.
I loved the G5 I modded so much that I am getting another one to mod this Christmas break, possibly with watercooling, and some other goodies.
