Thats a good thing! As the phobya block proved with its 1mm base, heat is transferred much quicker with a thin base.

Wow thats a fantastic looking block. Too bad it doesn't use the 1/2" compression fittings. I would've considered this block for my i7 build coming up. I'm still thinking of either the koolance 350 or dtek v2 though. Still would like to see the results of the block.

neither does the Dtek

i don't see the problem in not having compression fittings, 7/16" tubing on thick 1/2" fittings is just as secure as the ocmpression fittings are ;)

I just like the cleaner look, but yeah I realise that theres no real advantage. I may still consider it though.

I can't see any opions on Aquatuning of Sidewinder for the Nichel plated version. Did you do it yourself?

I did it my self. You can't buy it just nickel plated.

I got my block from Sidewinders today. I really like it so far, it's aesthetically pleasing, has good instructions, great mounting mechanism, solid backplate (although optional), and fairly minimalistic.

I can't speak for the thermals but it's damn sexy.

I got mine this weekend...I think I might get it nickel plated since I don't have a loop to add it to at the moment while I wait for new gear to arrive :D

It's a heavy block! Very solid and nice construction. I got the backplate for it as well.
