ok, just found out my core 1 is actually d crippled core. no matter what value i set in acc didn't help. :shakes:
now almost all asus boards have a modded bios to unlock the 4th core. this works with any cpu batch or not?
No, there aren't much batches, which work fine. I know only the Batch EPMW and the Batch CPAW, all other batches I heard about don't work
ok, tnx ;)
so, in addition to modded bios, a right batch is necessary too :(
I have 720 BE 0851.

GIGABYTE F3O is more old than official F3, so you put older BIOS version actually.
I see now:D . I have done wrong when I download BIOSs.
I had on desktop F3 and F3o normal and I thought that F3o is oldest than F3.
WOOT!
I got a 720 BE with 0904CPCW and GA-MA790GP-UD4H. It's been 30 minutes running OCCT stable at 3600mhz.
I'll post a screen shot when I get 1 hour OCCT pass.
Folks, I've got my 720BE and a MSI DKA790GX board today. (can't wait to finish @ work already :D)
My question is, what can happen if the 4th core fails to unlock?
Can I revert back to only 3 cores and continue from where I left off? :)
Sounds like its possible, though I feel like I've read somewhere that I may end up with a crippled/non-functional CPU, is that right?
Thanks a lot~
dunno, but it seems strange...if you try to activate 4th core through acc in bios settings and it fails, i think cpu should run as a x3 normally ;)Quote:

I've had no problem reverting back to 3 core, just disable ACC and re-boot. The bios may notify you that the 'CPU has changed', just accept the change and off you go. Worst case, clear CMOS. In my experience and from all I've read the switch to 4 core is in no way permanent :)
0904 DXXX batch can run in X4? anyone have tested?

very well done ;)
how about your dfi? works well in oc?
for sure. with the 4th core enable i think it's one of the best performance/cost cpu :)Quote:
Unlocked to 4 cores and OC'ed to 3.6GHz would be very very very nice for a chip as cheap as 720BE
go for it mate, i'm waiting ;)Quote:

I found that i have 4 core even if I put ACC on Auto or Disabled.:yepp:
The only problem I have is that I can not see temperature independently on each core and Overdriver does not recognize my CPU.
