Phenom II X3 working as a Quad-core

I tried a 0904BPMW on GA-MA790X-UD4 with F1 and F2 bios. Didn't work.

supposedly X3s are just Phenom IIs that had one bad core. This could show why A) the core can be unlocked and B) why it isn't always stable at even less-than-stock

Ihave MSI DKA 790gx Plat and 09004dpaw when acc enabled with per core bios shows core 0,core1,core2,core3 at acc menu. But with cpu-z at windows 3 cores. Ihave checked 1.6,1.5.1.4 bioses but still 720 is at 3 cores. Any moded bios or tweaks for MSI users?

dang, well looks like my x3 will be staying x3 :P

Mine won't boot with ACC on (M3A79-T). It sees the 4th core, and it shows up in BIOS, but Vista BSODs each time.

Oh well, tough luck. Amusing nonetheless

Can't complain though, get darn near close to 4Ghz on stock voltage. Pretty insane CPU

I wonder if the M3A79-T and M3A79-T Deluxe are the sames bios? The new release of the M3A79-T Deluxe bios is said to work well.
