haha, are there sharks involved with the lasers or kittens maybe? :D
No worries on the T3, was just wondering what caused you to go off-radar.

Hmmmm Very interested in these actually. Not for this build but for another one I am getting ideas scrambled together for. Trying to figure out if a LED can work in there somehow or EL wire. They look durable enough. Just wonder if the ring can hold compression on the tube good enough for a good pinch without breaking in my hand.
Know of any tools to grab all your imageshack pics with one click? I have so many pictures I would like to take from there then maybe host elsewhere. Maybe I should host my own and right my own interface to emulate what imageshack does (easy copy and past links and such).
I can't help you there. I've never used it. But maybe they offer a service like "Burn your albums to a CD" or something like that..
This is a pet-peeve of mine. Imageshack does work fine just no one seems to give people the right links.

See now you can do this:

Sorry for off topic.
Omg Hackers!!
Faster, your post needs to be broadcasted to everyone on XS that uses imageshack!!!!
Heh, glad I could contribute in some way. I have been using imageshack since it first came out since it was the best image hosting site that didn't require sign up. The options to direct link were made much more clear when it first opened but ever since they started with the ads they have obscured the option to the point of people not using it. Then people complain and it just annoys me since the option IS there.
I always replace the IS link in the thumbnail link with the direct link, it's not particularly hard.
Back on topic. I'd have a bit more faith in machined delrin compressions, but I'd still have some doubts. There is always going to be some sort of inherited weakness where the threads meet the body, that's the spot every plastic fitting I had break on me broke (2x).
polycarb = LEXAN guys it's very tough stuff we used to bend sheet parts made from this in press Brakes, so i know it won't crack however being molded I'd be more concerned about the threads class of fit consistency.
Yeah it is tough, but it's not impervious. I had a milling cutter blow up in a Hurco BMC20 that I had replaced the windows in the doors ~4 months before and it broke the Lexan like cheap acrylic....and yes it was Lexan as it said so on the protective paper I pulled off. Boss wasn't happy that I used Lexan either as every time before they'd just thrown in cheap acrylic from HD, but they sort of shut up after the cutter incident because, even though the window broke, everything stayed inside the machine, which couldn't be said if they had used the cheap stuff.
Damn Rich, Where did you find those?
*sigh*
u guys also remember how much of a PITA it is to pull tubing off plastic.
oh wait not many of you guys grew up pre bitspower and EK.
Lets ask Swiftech Bitspower, and EK to make phase coolers.
:D
If they brought us this far, who knows what they can do in phase section.
Looks like an interesting product both from a price and aesthetic point, never felt compelled to by Bitspower fittings mainly for price concerns.
I'm not to concerned with the strength of the fitting, with the right design and type of plastic it will be plenty strong. I would wait for the initial test reports before crying WOLF ;)
The only part that I worry about is the outside of the compression fitting. Once the tubes warm they will expand slightly and I am wondering if you have them screwed on tight enough if that would cause a break. I would like to see someone test these out and see what it would take to cause a break on a loop. This way it would dispel fears if it took more then enough pressure then real world use.
The tube fits snugly enough but is not nearly as hard to remove as a typical James hardy plastic fitting (the basic white barbed kind). I don't even try to pull the tube off those, just cut it. As for tube expansion, it would have to expand a great deal to compress the tube beyond its elasticity/compressibility and the displaced material would tend to just move away from the compression ring--path of least resistance-- like a large firm breast...or a stress relief squeeze ball (aka same thing). I took some quicky images of one screwed onto a rez with a short length of LRT Black 1/2" ID I will post in a bit.
Can't wait. Sounds like you've been busy :)
OK...let's try this.

I was at the shipping desk and used that box cutter to lop off some LRT tube so of course the ends crooked lol.
The lighted tool free LED plug is in also (sans an LED obviously.
When I get a chance I will lock the tube into a bench vice and then duct tape 5 pounds onto the rez for those that mount their cases to the ceiling fan using the cooling loop lol.
