I spy 7GHz!!
I´m not advocating for dualcores (Or even tricores) since the future is quads and beyond. But to make the judgement I would add that the E8600 price would drop and be replaced by the E8700.
Plus when you look downwards, Q8200 or E8400? It quickly gets tricky due to amdahls law.
If it was an AMD CPU, you were going to open trillion threads and scream over the window about it. :shakes:
You posted this 3 days ago. Typically for a hardcore fanboy is to have double standards.
Face it, the E8700 wipes the floor with all the AMD CPUs up to date, except Deneb. ;)
E8700 will be E0? or a new stepping?
Please don't do that! Don't think what you think that I think it would be appropriate thing to do!
And what does this post in compliantly different topic has to do with this one??Quote:
Did you obtained one and test it, so you know?Quote:

Sarcasm on a side, high clock and 6megs of shared cache will do what they've done for all Cores so far when it comes to singlethreaded and explicitly dual-core optimized apps... but in multithreaded apps and multitasking scenarios things will be completely different...
But back to my main argument - what's your take on it? Cheap quads (or cheaper triples) , or expensive duals?
;)
Expensive duals by far.
Go figure

ya man this is why eye was waiting mars is gonna love E8700 :D...... or wait for the E8800 11 multi :ROTF:

:rofl::D
btw i was thinking of ya the other day while pulling out a nice salmon off rocks :D
If Intel has put a page up like that, it means they at least have some E8700 ES chips floating around which is good enough for me! ;)
"That information was posted in error and we are not commenting on any plans we may or may not have for that unannounced SKU…"
it got Fuggers attention so it has to be true lol
well im sure if intel put it up on the site they have already made them
and in that case if they dont release them oh well atleast we know they may have a a special weapon left for socket 775 and that is enough hope for me
Intel bloopers this year!
1. Core i7 940 extreme edition (the one on CPU-Z etc)
2. Q7500
3. E8700
4. Macadamia will run dual Xeons in the near future
Movieman take your pick :D
my tpower i45 is waiting for this e8700....
....about dual vs quad,no dude, for games ( and with high clocks dual core) is all 2009 to use easily ( game developers not run fast, some one say alan wake?...yeah sit and wait )...this is with E8400 soft oc,..with an e8700 maybe you can wait more fps,and of course more 3dmarks...

Same test, different flavour...

I'm sure, or they want their recently announced/implemented price cuts to take affect a bit.
But just seeing that page tells me they do in fact have some coming off the line somewhere, and as you can see by my sig, I see a lot of CPUs so it isn't hard to find the one I want :) In this case an E8700 "Especial Super" edition as we like to call them.
