Well, just got my 920 and stuck it in the Asrock 790gx board. right off I upped the voltage lowered HTlink and NB multi and set HT to 260 and its prime stable (1 hour now) right off the bat. havent tried higher yet but obviosly its not gonna be a problem. figured this is as good of place as any to show this

After im done playing with the 920 I may do that, this board is loaded with features for overclocking and overvolting the onboard 3300

BTW, Dont know if its a bios problem but my thermal sensor is broke it reads 40deg at all times and in AOD it reads 0. everything in AOD is wacked tho, I cant even use it.
everything is cool to the touch tho and I added ramsinks to the mosfets

Yah the onboard limits NB frequency I can use. Will have to do till I can afford a new card.

NB probably scale fine dumo with 4 sticks, at least on F2 bios. F3 and F3i dont like 4 sticks, and I get a tad higher stable as well on F2, Might want to try it.

Don't go high VNB with onboard vid. enabled.

Just ordered a DFI LanParty JR 790GX for a HTPC build and got another 940 BE Coming one I have now ......CACVC AC 0849APMMW never seen anyone else with that stepping cant get over 3.6 Stable could be Bios on 790FX-M2R though hard to tell when Bios is not close to being up to snuff.

@Chew....any insight on that steppintg is it the outer crust or what?

@Chew I am selling my Crossfire set $150.00 for both never been Overclocked (Never got into that) let me know if interested they are in mint condition.

Not fm approved drivers thus not the Futuremark 3d06 WR;) thats the HW bot approved record, If I swap drivers its a wrap. Do a compare. My hardware is capable of more / higher clocked. I'm just going to stomp the overall WR with hardware, Not a big fan of driver "tweaks".

A little birdie told me the board is capable of a 4k score

i had to crank some major volts through my 780G to get it over 1ghz and it sure as hell wasn't running that cool

Well it look like I'm flying solo, Enjoy can't make it.

Just finished insulating, getting ready to go pick up DI.

Probably my best insulation on a board yet and my batteries are dead in my camera, Recharging them now.

I'm probably not going to run my 4870 in it just yet, want to get a feel for the board/chip cold first, will probably 3d the IGP, runs some cinebench albeit only ddrII 800, PI, everest, max cpu-z etc etc.

Anything You would like to see LMK now so I can DL it.
