Ok Fedex has come and gone and left me with my FX5900, so I'm going to give it and my TI4600 a try just to see if I can verify thats it my AGP/PCI and not the chip (so I can fianlly sleep some !)

Then it back to benching ! ;)

Ok i just installed mine and running with Stock Aircooling and Default Vcore 1.488 at 2230 MHZ......
I didnt find yet the MAX STABLE OC with Default Vcore.......
Is just the beggining and the Memmory until now 1/1 (PC3700 Twinmos)........

Damn... that's better than my A64.... It seems that I need 1.525V ( trough the CrystalCPUID ) to get it stable @2210.... you're lucky :cool:

Well I've been doing everything but benching so far today :(

I've still got to take my Vapochill apart to put on my R9800, and it looks to be alittle more time consuming than I thought. But later tonight should be running 3dmark01.

Cut me some slack Jason ! lol

I had to take my gaming rig apart and put in my Koolance case, then set it back up. Been messing with that all day it seems.

I've been playing with the FX5900 in my gaming rig and so far I'm pretty impressed. It's not a 9800pro but still is very fast, and a definite imporvement over the TI4600 I was using.

I'm very anxious to see your results when you go to your watercooling. You should try a make a plate to hold down your waterblock on your 64.

Looking good so far with stock voltages and cooling.:toast:

awesome my man, but be very carefull with VLDT mod as it can take your chip out in no time if you go too high with juice.

It's not going to happen ! :(

No matter what I try I can't bench at 8x agp any higher than 2.6ghz. with AGP at 4x np up to 2.72ghz but what a hit in performance ! OK back to waiting for some sort of agp/pci lock and or usable divider.

I was able to OC to 2.8ghz with the TI4600 in it, so I think I've got a really good chip. Might pick up the Gigabyte K8N pro this week and see how that goes.

Really? I didn't notice any major hit - my 27240 is done at 4x (well my drago scores are maybe a bit low) :D
I have to drop to 4X after 250 or so. :P
POS hardware!

btw with decent car low you'd be over 26.5k now I think.

PS did you use the beat BIOS on that run? :)

Ya using 1003.015, I can't OC my R9800pro any more than 548 without problems too. I could do better than that b4 on intel CW so I'm sure it's agp related too. Temps are much better now on gpu with Vapo PE by about 10c, so I think once I either get NF3 mb or a fix for this I will be rolling ;)

yea running ATI at high AGP greatly reduces OC potential :(
I was at 564gpu only..on intel I could run dragos at 584/580 :P
I guess its about time to find an AGP locked A64 board ;)
