Give me around 10 days so i can get the REII board home first and i will then tell you if the ASUS HP fits.
I asked Eddy by e-mail and he was not 100% sure it would not fit so the way i thinking is that if it fits the other boards with the Fusion-heatpipe then it will fit the REII also if there is not something hiding that is in the way. But i made a gamble worth about 32€ so it not the end of the world if it not fits and as it was not a clear negetive answer i might just try and see.
I like the above design {(Six's) Post 50)} because the water block is actually touching the chip. As with the swiftech one it's a water block on top of another copper block provided with the heat pipe system. I just dont think it would do much more that a regular passive heatsink with a fan without touching the chip directly. with the swiftech, heat is passing through two layers of copper and two layers of Thermal Paste. But that's just my opinion. Anyone else see what i'm talking about here?
Additional Comment:
Than again you could use swiftechs the same way except they dont have a mosfett or southbridge solution yet
For people who dont want remove the heatpipe it is a good solution i think.
We will make maybe also a block for.
Anyway we are trying to make a block as one piece for NB and SB because people prefer this.
I think it is no good solution because you can use this block only for one mainboard.
Bringing this thread back...
My EK Asus HP just got in today..and yes it fits the REII
...and yes the EK is upside down :p:
Temps soon as i get the rest of the parts for the case
ok thank you ;)
the wb is smaller than the rad, it's strange when it's placed on the heatpipe :p:
Perhaps that EK will release a greatest block :D
I think EK talked of a Full cover block also...but for now this block will do.
yes, of course ;)
I just finished my latest build.....Here is what I did for the Northbridge...I found an old Danger Den chipset block lying around...lined up perfectly..Temps now around 35C idle...never goes past 42C Load..not that it was that hot to begin with....but while I was doing all the work might as well add another block!
I will post the rest of the build in a bit..

Did you lap the Northbridge or does it ship like that?
Anybody know if a heatsink like the Enzotech will fit on the northbridge as my soundcard gets in the way.

yeah guys i was looking at it hard..
my single mosfet block will require a new mid plate and top plate for it to fit the R2E.
The mosfet numbers dont count the same on the P6T-Dlx and R2E.

Yes these blocks will be on sale at jab-tech and sidewinders.
But how about 3 SLI GTX280 WC with that full cover block ? It wont block anything ?

Under that waterblock, is there the NB chip or copper from the standard heatsink ?
