Looks awsome, what pains me more than the alu/copper mix is how hard it must have been to mount that thing. Everything would have to be perfectly set into the PCI-E slots and then you would have to screw it in. I wonder how he attached it to the second Sli card? However it is very blingy, I would sure use that if I could make one. Something makes me think that there could have been a better all-in-one design block though. Still gets 10/10 all the way though. Especially 10/10 for creativity. :up:

NaeKuh, I too was a bit upset about spending so much on the SilenX when I finally got my first YL SM's, but in all honesty, I never really believed the CFM/dbA numbers on the SilenX in the first place so I wasn't too disappointed by their performance. I did buy more than a few of them though, and try to use them when ever possible just to get rid of them and they really aren't as awful when they are just moving case air with simple wire grills. Once I've used them all and they finally all die, I can put that chapter of bad purchases to rest with most of the other "bad purchase" chapters I've had, the one exception being my BI GTS, that thing just refuses to die. :shakes:Quote:

Very nice block, it serves its purpose well.
Seeing as its not a production block for the masses I could care less if it is alu or cardboard. What matters is that the creater achieved his vision within the budget and design limitations he/she may or may not have imposed on themself. The block is art, not XS.
I really wish that all the ALU haters would just pipe down. I mean, you CANT buy the block, its not in your rig so who gives a :banana::banana::banana::banana:?

Well the only way it wound fall off is if the table capllosed, due to how heavy it is, you wound have to go some to push it off or lean on it ?

But hey, that's just what I think.
If he had a good anodizing job done on the inside of those aluminum tops, he would be OK if he uses a healthy dose of antifreeze or the like. Apart from the alu issue, I fail to see how the cooling is going to be inadequate at all.
This has got to be the most incredible build I have ever seen. Truly unbelievable.
