Ok cheapest registered ecc 512mb pc2-3200R sticks from corsair costs 14€... 2 of them and we're ready to crunch.

One of those tiny chipset fans is nice also on the NB and SB..

The case is set up for front to back airflow with three fans, so I think that should be enough. If not, I can mount some ductwork over the CPUs. a 2-inch heat sink should fit fine, so I think I'll be in business should the opportunity to get some CPUs present itself. :)

Heck, I'm willing to put together two or three of these things to upgrade some of my ancient servers.

Now, if I can just straighten out why some of my BSD machines will run WCG units, and some won't...

Okay guys,

just gave them a call.
Good news, as he said there should be 24 CPUs left (theoretically... probably minus the CPUs you guys ordered :D )
He's gonna look more closely and report back with the exact number in a while. :D

So what do you want to do? Should I order all of them and try to get an even better price, then distribute them within Europe/get someone (aka Jaco :D ) to send a bunch to the US guys?

Or do you want to order yourself? In that case I'll "just" take 10 CPUs or so for myself.. :wasntme:

Edit2: Aww crap. His colleague just called me back and said they are out of stock, seems you guys cleaned them out already. Dang, I shouldn't have played nice and waited -.-

I guess that's it then :/

But thank god i get one pair.

I know another german place where is also those cpus, tho they are 1.667ghz models.

But i can't give u any link for 2hours, can't copy paste with my cellphone :/

1667 can be modded to 266Mhz FSB :D
Where the hell do you find these?! I looked for half an hour for more CPUs and didn't find anything under 300€...

and 200fsb mod is also avaible.

I have the link on my comp and i'm now at school, even tho the page had only ask for price form. I'm not sure how much the cpus costs and do they even have them :/

Correct, be carefull guys.. MOST of the heatsinks that say they are for sossaman are the little tiny ones for the supermicro and tyan boards not the socket 771 spacing like the Intel boards.

Ok just called them... the girl at the phone didn't really have a clue what I was talking about, plus she managed to mis-type the article no. 3 times until she found the right CPU :p:
Anyway, they are gonna call me back regarding availability and pricing.. I told them I was interested in 10-20 pieces, I figured I'd take 10 myself if I had to so that should be a safe guess :cool:

I tried the mod to 200FSB(from 166) with the 1667's and it didn't work for me..maybe I did something wrong..:shrug:

Thats the same Board dave has posted in the youngpro thread, NoL has one IIRC, Dave has his up and running and I have one in an ATX Case ready for action. Awesome nice find on the CPU's though. How much for shipping them ?

If there's no other way of getting them, yes, you may have a pair of mine. The problem is that if I'm going to sell you the pair of chips, I am not making the profit I was hoping for, thus making the system an aweful lot more expensive than I wanted. I was hoping to break even.

I got a message today that the 4 of them were shipped to my home. I think they'll arrive here in a day or 2.
