500 fsb on a quad core... very good :) is this on water?
This is definitely pushing it.
Lets say I relax my voltages and run at 480 max, not pushing towards 500.
480 x 8.5 = still makes 4080.
My question is.... can the E0s overclock above 4.1 on air? (Vcore around 1.35) how about on water?
I am trying to figure out if there is an absolute need for the x9 multi to decide between q9550 and q9650.
Another question :D
since you are not using a really high fsb now,
would you recommend a rampage formula or a dfi lt x48 instead of the P5Q Deluxe?
right you all know the q9650 won't be fully surrported till the next bios if not later so as the p5q boards still not fully upto speed nearly there. But still a few problems. I think we will make the 475-485 fsb with 9x multi. Getting mine now, it's been held at citylink since Wednesday so I can't wait to give her a blast using mx-2. So overclocking from the the get go
hang on was that 4.2! Yes it was so let's see. Still some head room left to overclock her. 16 hours prime stable just need to drop voltages and fine tweek ram timings.
its much faster clock for clock, the 9650 @ 3.8 beat my 6600 @ 4.005 in w-prime speed by .1s. add in the head room to go to 4.1-4.15 24/7 on a good mobo and youve got a winner
evil-98's q9450 just died with, 1.408v. I hope you enjoy wasting your 600$ just so you can say you got yours faster than everyone else.
^guys lower the vcore and raise the cpu vtt
my q9650 stable @ v1.250/cpu vtt @ v1.275 @ foxconn mars bios

when i got this cpu the box was all factory sealed but the inside plastic seals were all broken.. was about to rma it back to newegg but im content now that the oc is good :)
@ mars.. the only option after 1.200 is 1.275
^same here v1.25 max
1.300vcore/1.425vtt @ bios

thermalright ifx14/75 F ambient
next: im gonna attempt a mobo mod and shoot for 500fsb.. if successful will post it
idk.. im still going for higher.. not done yet
only .075vtt increment @ mars
but first i gotta take off some of the burden of the chipset.. 8800ultra -> 8800gt + mobo cap mod
sniipe dogg that's suck. I am takeing your advice unlike someone else ^^^^^^ I've dropped my vcore to 1.39 seems to be stable yet to run prime I'll do that tonight when I get home. These newer chips must be able to take 1.45 but about 1.40 tops for 24/7. But it's just luck of the draw if you get a good chip. As soon as you take it over 1.25v which intel recommends the that's your warrenty gone in a second that's the risk we take.
4300 solid
4400 more than just a ss.. but not fully stable
my mars is r.i.p :( worst died by my hands and not cpu/oc
getting blackops now
People with good chips please post the batchcodes and help your fellow clockers try to get some good stuff as well :)
