Consider yourself lucky then. For the hell of it, I tweaked the fan speeds to my liking, slapped a few heatsinks on the mosfets mentioned in page 18 of the 4800 series overclocking thread in the X-Overclocking subforum and I still can't even break 720 stable in RTHDRILB with the voltages at 1.2. Granted I can't quite confirm it's at 1.2 seeing as how my dmm needs a new battery, but I do notice that I can clock slightly higher and the temps correlate.
Right now it's running said demo at 714/1000 and finally seems stable. Fan is at 70% with the core temp at ~72c.
I don't see it being worth it at this point. Maybe I got a moot clocking card. Unless I'm drastically overlooking something here. The card is a Sapphire, if it means anything.
