yup exactly try harder mr.G
this is my max stable on redline 2.07v actual i can go higher n run pi but not get errors in memtest;)
n yes 1200+ is better;)
if the new pc2-8800 can get 1180 i'll buy it but i doubt if i do it will

Guys .... the P5Q Deluxe won't handle PL<8 with fsb>=450 ;)
You can't compare it to x38/x48 ;)
This is a problem of the P5Q Deluxe/P45. PL=7 should be ok at least till 450fsb. But it isn't.
In x38/x48 we can have PL +/- like this :
6 till 350fsb
7 till 450fsb
8 > 450fsb
In the P45, using a P5Q Deluxe we can have PL +/- like this :
7 till 350fsb
8 till 450fsb
9 > 450fsb
It really sucks. I think it's a chipset limitation but ....
For me P35 still is the champ in memory bench with Everest.
OK, but those results can still be improved with a lower manual setting.
anyone with this memory can test 500fsb or close max @ high fsb
maybe mr gskill is capable?
Got mine today.
the retail box, simple and with the "usual" G.Skill styling we all know.

The Ram:

What else is in the box? the smallest manual ever and two stickers.

quick test at stock only had like 5 mins sorry.. more tomorrow.
note, there is no divider that gets you 550 ram clock with everybodies favorite setting of 400x9 with the Q6600.
so I backed down the fsb to 368 and used the 1:1,5 divider.
timings you get with everything on auto:
5-5-5-5-15
All precharge to Active 6
Trfc 52
Perf lvl 6
Write to Precharge Delayed 14
Twtr 11
trrd 3
trd_wr 8
trtp 3
all precharge to refresh 6
tref 3120
command rate 2
that results in Everest:
Read: 8335
Write: 6686
Copy: 7256
Latency: 58.9
Do stock speeds work stable?
yup, 4x p1m (ignore the time, untweaked vista)

I'll test with it with a E8400 tomorrow and go with a higher fsb and have a look what they can do with tighter timings.
Can't you try 450x8 and mem @ 1200MHz ?
I hope to get mine today too :D
600 was a no go, max is 598 5-7-7 with mine and next lower multi would drop ram speed kinda hard, I'll try other mainboard, maybe p45 will bring more luck.

valid
Everest:
Read: 9664
Write: 9025
Copy: 8975
Latency: 54.3
so on x38, x48 and p45 it will easily go beyond 10k read.
got a gigabyte ep45 ds3p as well, I'll try 600 on that tomorrow.
quick and dirty shot at max clock with ep45-ds3p, got 613 out of them, not really stable though valid
I've tried with lower latencies as well, they seem to hate cas 4, Coudnt get 500 with it, 5-4-4 works though at around 550.
naokaji, default voltage ?
the 598 on the msi board was with 1.9V(max they are rated for), 613 was done with 2.0V, they dont really scale with volts, 1.9 appears to be the optimal voltage for them.
memory config has these in stock for any 1 in Eu wanting them :)

OK ... mem's installed .... 1200MHz was a no go here too :(
With 450fsb, 1.3/1.4vNB, 1,3vFSB, 1,6vPLL and 2.0v bios/2.08v real, 5-5-5-15 and tRFC=55 :
@ 1203MHz (strap 400) = no boot at all
@ 1199MHZ (strap 333) = crash entering windows
@ 1128MHZ (strap 266) = OK
Have it like this for now :
http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/5...18800piqv2.jpg Bios 0901 and vDIMM 1,9v @ bios
Also tried 400x9 and 375x9 and still no go @ 1200.
G.S.Tech, any ideas :D
What was your bios version when you did the 1200MHz ?
i can boot 1180 with my redline but memtest will give errors
naokaji did you run memtest??
most high end powerchips gonna run 1130mhz the chosen few will run 1200
some redline run 1200 for the lucky few
gkill rep got lucky n pulled rabit out of a hat
this is my max on redline 2.05v
i'd buy a set of gskills but need more reliable results
for some reason mine tREF is 4171 and no matter what I set for the rams in Memset it will just reset it back to default whenever I restart the PC
i can set mine to 12800T
What tREF is better ? higher or lower ?
???
I thought lower would give better performance, but higher allow for more stability and/or faster clocks
How many of these results can do 100% HCI Memtest w/o crapping out?
These don't seem particularly spectacular to me.
Slightly better binned is all, which some lucky ones getting near DDR2-1200.
100% HCI Memtest with how mutch memory ?
Just picked up the 8GB kit of these for my DFI LT X48 MB (jsut arrived). I heard this memory might not be compatable with the x48 MB?
I have the same ram and they top out at 580 on my p5k deluxe...p35 chipset
