BC this thread got resurrected I thought I would give some info for 24/7 vmod compatibility. What I did was pencil mod mine up to ~1.35v max. However, the profile settings have so much control over voltage that this can be greatly reduced in 2d. Using "ati tray tools" (http://downloads.guru3d.com/ATI-Tray...nload-733.html) you can apply your OC and profile voltage automatically. My computer boots into 500/700 1.00v (~0.8v profile), and boosts to 835/1100 1.35v (1.158v profile) in 3d. Very nice, and saves me from needing to hardmod (until I can't help myself and need 900+ :D).
BTW, if your a vista x64 and don't want to disable non-signed driver blocking (F8 @boot) every time, get "ready driver plus" and it will do it automatically for you every time.

i'm sure this is old news, but i'll mention it anyway,
some new 4850 cards like the asus 4850 Top have overdrive limit of 800mhz,
so you can use those bios for more OC
