mod vdd and 380*12 :D :p:
KennethChong,
dont act so "normal" about your overclock ;) you have by far the luckiest combo 2.4C with Canterwood I have EVER seen.. I'm assuming you use the ABIT here..... macci with his 362 used a springdale albatron (slow as hell even at 360), 360 on a canterwood is ummmmmmmmm...... rather good ;)
oh, and there is such a thing as SoftFSB ;)
clockgen is the bestQuote:

368.6 FSB is the world record
maybe a new score?
im using clockgen most of the time :)
Im guna try for more tonight, 268 is really the record? Ill try, but im not sure if i can push it anymore...
oh and for those of you have heard of berkut's burn in method and never tried? It works wonders!
lucky as in he has one heck of a chip??Quote:

i wouldnt doubt his ability to oc it
Berkut's method??
And that is...??
Is it running the rig w/no cooling for a short period of time to force the TIM to change form?
C
pretty much, here it is in his words...
"Yea, its all about turning you cooling system off with the cpu @ low clock/fsb/voltage so it heats up slowly and can work very warm
Simply turn off your cooling system, cpu as low as it can go, voltage also and let it go to like 80C, turn your computer on and off for about an hour to let your thermal paste settle, it should lower your temps.
If i remember well Major Slaughter used it and had 50mhz better clocks on his p4 and lower temps"
I lost about 6c off my temps after i tried it, very good method, and quick.
Kenneth,
next time you take the chip out, make sure you let us know the intel chip markings =] I want one of these more than anything now. Whats your mem bandwidth like?
Kenneth,
Outstanding OC! Is your Mach 2 stock? Do you use Ceramique?
Again...excellent.
C
bah! i ment to take a picture when i moved it to the prommie, forgot :( ill be sure to get it to yall though.
The prommie is 404 modded, and yea im using Ceramique, love the stuff :D
crap, dont know whats up with this antec psu :(
this pic is from before i really started to push it too, time for a new psu i guess
HOLY CRAP MAN! Thats one hell of a chip. Better than your 3.2C Go for the record :D Hurry up and take a pic of your setup I wana see it :slobber:
Hey great job Kenneth. I would love to see you break 268!!
Just real quick about the burn in. Can this work on water cooled rig's, and isn't 80c a little high or will the p4 thermal throttling kick in before any damage?
Yea it works, i did it when it was on the waterchiller also, i let it get to about 60c in windows, then went into bios untill it got to 70, thats the highest i went. got 4c off my temps with it.
Thats a heck of an overclock with your voltages meandering all over like that, lol 8-)
Still not as bad as my Enermax, though, made it hit 4.6v on the 5v rail a while back.. hehe.
Time to R82 mod my psu I think...
Grab your multimeter Kenneth, I'm assuming it's one of your IC7's ?Quote:

I installed an Antec 550 (not a true control), and modded the voltage sensing wires. Your voltage swings are slightly more than mine, but not much. The IC7 reports the voltages wrong, it isn't undervolting. Check the output leg of the DDR mosfet, you'll see it matches what you set in the bios for vdimm. Measure your 5v at the Radeon external power hook-up, again it will be higher than MBM5. I still raised my lines, but only so the minimums are at nominal voltages under load.
Zroc found the same thing with the IC7's, and Mushkin did as well.
Damn sweet OC Kenneth :toast:
Looking good my man, take that chip to the top of 3D2001 :D
OPP
Mr Chong: :) U really need to post the FPO/Batch ...I saw in an earlier post that you didn´t get the box....but for FFS take out the chip and post us the Batch......plzzz ?????
That is an exceptional 2.4C.:toast:
KennethChong:
I'm just going to put my MAX3 in the Prometeia now and I have used Arctic Alumina on the cpu,
is it completely safe to use Ceramique too and if so is there anything I should think about when using Ceramique?
and again great work man!!! :) congrats!!!
Thanks guys!
Its my max 3, but i would think the principle would be the same, im guna test it out today, thanks for the info.Quote:

I havnt had any problems wiht Ceramique, just a bit tough to apply sometimes, just take your time on it and make sure its spread evenly.
First off, GJ on your OC. A lot of people are slightly jealous. :D
I always thought P4's started thermal throtling at around 70 degrees celcius. It would still work the same if they did right?Quote:
