I think that quad sli drivers will be late too.... :(

anyone else notice that even though the gx2 was the product they were reviewing, they seemed slightly biased towards the card? When ever the gx2 would beat the x2 they'd say it would be a nice lead, but if the x2 would beat the gx2 they either would say the results were near identicle or just not really mention it as it a big deal
Lol!
Now i see that both the HD3870X2 and 9800GX2 are good competitors, and the GX2 has a small performance gain over the ATI card. I see everyone having complaints about the review thus drivers. Whaha yeah probably everyone is annoyed by the review because some have already pre-ordered and payed the 9800GX2
No seriously, this is sad. Althrough i saw the same critics with one of the first reviews about the 3870X2. My gosh, are it the drivers??...Or the fanboys who couldnt handle that the 3870X2 beat the GX2 in a couple of testst while it costs 100>$ more.
15% more performance, for 25% higher price. Go tell im an ATI fanboy what-ever.:ROTF:
I must say that the review of Tweaktown give a nice indication how the card is gonna perform. Dont use the screenshot of GPU-Z to support your theory about SLI being disabled, because GPU-Z isnt working with GPU-Z and thus not trustable. It doesnt show anyting actually....
We post early for a reason, not with the aim of pissing everyone off.
AMD recently agreed to support us, so we will work with them.
Nvidia hasn't, so we will do our own thing until they do. We are handicapped just for being an Aussie based online magazine, and I won't accept that.
There are reasons for everything.
Don't worry about these guys, they're just pissed because the card didn't poorly in the review. If it had done well they'd be singing your praises, old driver or not. You made it clear this was preliminary and also made it plain these were old drivers. Anyone with half a brain will not only look at the graphs, but will also read the conclusion. You're not under NDA so the suing part was just imature angst
As far as SLI being disabled all you have to do is look at the 8800GT scores to see that is was. The drivers were just having trouble with their Vista implementation. I'm sure the card will do better with more mature drivers.
Don't mind the negativity Mr Tweak.
Some individuals expected more from that card, and vent their disappointment on the person/website bringing the news.
It was obvious from the start to me, that in the results you posted, both GPU's are being used, and not one, like that nvidia drone on those forums.
Those who claim otherwise have serious problems when it comes to understanding benchmarks.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks guys :)
We're just trying to do our best here...
GeForce 9800 GX2 Overclocked and Tested
http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/13...ion/index.html
Are you sure in this Oc tests? I oced my card from 600/1500/2000 to 700/1700/2200 and 3Dmark score increased only around 300! points ...
no x2 oc to compare to gx2 oc
Sorry but I would not surprised if new drivers help only a little.
i dont really need to look at a review, i know its 2x8800gts's in sli basically. like if intel released a higher clocked cpu based off the existing architecture, i can do the math on how fast it is.
in games, u really need 2x 3870x2's to be in the same league as a single 9800gx2. its kinda sad, right now ppl have the choice between a crappy overpriced card, or another card that is less overpriced but performs much crappier.
Exactly, people need to reconcile their attachment to expectations somehow, and like it is said, two 8800 gts's in sli is what this card should be coming close to in performance, so if its drivers then sit tight, and read the review, and deal with what has been posted. There was no finality to it, you can blame someone else if your too lazy to read a full review. Do you people sign contracts without reading them as well?
So they overclocked not only the GPU, but the CPU and they are posting this as though it's something meaningful? God. That's the last tweaktown review I'll read.
although introduction of another variable for no apparent reason isnt a great thing, lets be honest, the cpu is doing nothing in most of those games.
what is wrong with those drivers?
tacke a good loock at both artcles, xp vs. vista performance. those are some strange results, not logic perhaps. even between diferent resolutions too.
by the way, tweak on fella's, good job!
