i think amd doesn't want to embarrass themselves... their k8 duallies will be able to beat their k10 ones, and that will look bad for a new product... k10 just can't clock, be it one core or 4, so until amd can solve that problem, dual cores will remain k8 based.
Kuma was delayed in late October to mid Q2 for the first.
quads would have brought in a lot more money if they had gotten it down from the start, that's why a lot more r&d money was put towards it, and they might as well fix their quads since they have put this much time and money towards it and it'll be a while until they get 45nm quads along
All of you guys seem to think this set back is destroying AMD:rolleyes: I have news for you its not! Perhaps its perceived that way on this and other OC Forums but in reality 89% of the PC Sector is mainstream users and consumers that would not know the difference and could care less. Moreover its only the Enthusiast community and Sever segment that is frowning upon this whole situation and of course leaning more towards the the OC Community that hypes this way out of proportion.
YES:D ......Just remember I come here so I guess I am a geek as well:rofl:
What really put AMD in bad financial peril was the amount of time it took them to release new products to because even average John Q Public wants the latest and greatest regardless of how well it does. Just like Conroe with the Motherboard situation when they first came out they sucked and had allot of issues but people were lining up for that ass whoopin anyways!:D
Conroe just iced it but before conroe not sure if u remember there was this cpu called dothan i think which gave a glipse of the upcoming tech from intel. If im not mistaken it was the same intel design team that introduced dothan which later became to be conroe.
You are correct and you get the CIGAR:hrhr:
Because in reality K10h is a server chip. and a damn good one (except for TLB)
That's where the money is ;)

KTE thanks for the info, although 2.6GHz max is quite dissapointing for a 2core cpu. I think i might get a AM2+ mobo and a 5000BE and wait for shanghai early next year
might well just be that MSI board that has BIOS_bugs :slash:
and you might NOT want to overclock a CPU with TLB bug
its the whole point that AMD dont release higher clocked CPUs based on B2 as they might or will make the system unstable if its clocked to high
but all in all B3 should fix this.. :)
