ive gotten much further, i actually have a working system :)

@spoony: you dont have to take off the connector, just
get the correct size heat shrink or get 3/8" heat shrink
and carefully stretch it to the right size. i like doing that
because it shrinks tighter. all i do is measure how much i
need, add a 1/4" to it because when you stretch it, it
shrinks alittle. then slide the heat shrink on to some needle
nose pilers and carefully stretch it to a perfect size. thats
all you got to do. i like to put a ziptie into keep the sleeve
from moving around, but you dont have to do that.
