Yes it is the stick with "P" on them.. it's the exact same kit being sold on newegg (JM4GDDR2-8K)

it just won't work at 1000mhz...
even at 5-6-6-18
if I set vmem +0.2 at bios, it gives me 2v at idle and 1.9v at full load... occt lasts about an hour then..
if I set vmem +0.3 at bios, it gives me 2.11v at idle and 2.1v at full load... occt doesn't last 1 minute like this...
this is so very weird.. i think it's my mobo... but i don't have any other mobos to try it on. damn why did i have to buy this cheap motherboard
I think you have a different batch of the powerchips, because the difference I was pointing out in my screenshot of my spd in cpu-z is that mine have a spd standard of 5-5-5-18 in 400mhz while yours have 5-5-5-16.
That is different and if you look at your date cpu-z you'll see that they were created 2007 while mine and dr.learys are made in 2008 since we live in the same country of sweden. Simply you might have old powerchips while we have a newer revision of the powerchips.
It would seem that date matters when it comes to these sticks of ram.

also, what bios are you using? i'm on F10, but will flash F12 tonight
edit: been running at 1000mhz for 1 hour now @ 1.96v. but the timmings suck... if i try and raise the voltage more, it gets worse.

I think that you might have to settle for less than 1000 in your case because if it can't do 1000 at 5-5-5-15 2v then you can't no matter the settings in bios but if I remember with the f10 bios is that the subtimings setting are different so to upgrade to f12 isn't a bad idea, give it a shot. Just remember to clear cmos manually after the bios upgrade right after the upgrade. And don't use the windows update tool use the dos based and if you have a diskette or a boot cd use that instead.

If with 1.9v last occt longer then i think it is a temp issue.
Your timings with 5-5-5-15 screenshot are ok and a bit loosen,
so there is no problem. Put a fan over them to test any difference and
report back.

so I guess tRCD doesn't like me. as long as it's 6 from 500mhz on, it will be fine.

What Drive Strength settings does Intel/your board offer? Set them to low/weak, whatever. If more Voltage doesnt help it might be a sign of too high Drive Strengths. Didnt read whole thread but I assume you already played with NB Voltages right.
Also, not entirely sure, I didnt see that MCHBAR to be 'on' on other Intel OC Memset screens? As I said, not 100% sure, Ive no clue about Intel really.

Sorry to say it seems you have a weaker batch. I don´t think your pair will go much higher regardless what you do. Thats the way it is in the world of of overclocking. You can´t really be sure of what you get.

i can't even do 800 4-4-4-12 2.3v
at least it goes up to 920 5-5-5-15 1.8v

The thing is that they are not the same ic's only named powerchips. Just like micron have several d9's, powerchips have other revisions of well... powerchips.
Think of as different chips altogether and go from there, simply put; results will be totally different.
But it's a damn shame in your case. I would recommend people to buy single modules that have the same case-color as the one in my earlier post. And I do believe that the date is stamped onto the ic's themselves as 0804 or something like that.
can you run 800 4-4-4-12?
nah having faster ram in mhz is better than timings or at least the same.

It runs 5-6-3-13 @ 1066mhz 1.98v
Won't work with tRCR @ 5 above 975 no matter what I try.

Khalmyr have you tried loosening the subtimings?
My OCZ was only stable up to 888 Mhz on default subs, but when I loosen them to highest (63-15-15-15) it goes awesome XD.
I notice absolutely no reduction in speed or bandwidth either, sandra is measuring 8.10 Gb/s at my sig settings.
I keep forgetting to test mine any higher higher, but they should scale nicely with 2 higher Tras.
Subtimings need to be loosened on 2x2 Gb kits, but it makes visually no reduction to speed at all.
This ram looks awesome for the price, like the Hynix 1 Gb modules! But I prefer my OCZ heatspreaders and fan mounted above them :p
This week, 2x2 Gb PC6400 ballistix red and the PC8500 version of my ram are on offer at OCUK for £76 and £105. If I was rich I would also buy the ballistix to play with.
