lol didn't test for 4ghz stability :)
just bench for spi benchable @4.32 ghz air .
my goal was a decent 3.6 ghz at low vcore
maybe later make some benches with a better board and 8500 ram .
actually stuck at 480 fsb which I think is nice with this cheap mobo ;)
sold my former E8400 and E6600 allowed me to buy this xeon and just spend around $ 30 lol
my cheapiest rig ! :p:
Where can you locate a E3110 to buy?
For you mate :)
Max FSB tests continued....
Looks like this E3110 has a slightly higher max FSB for Super Pi 32M at least, topping out at 545FSB straight boot from bios to complete Super Pi 32M run. With max cpu validation matching my E8500 Q740A493T on same Asus Blitz Formula at 555FSB

Here is may Xeon.
If you can pick a good batch number of either one, that's your best bet. If you buy blindly with no idea of the batch, you probably have a better chance getting a fairly good one if you go Xeon. From what I can tell, there is no big difference between the good xeons and the good 8400s.
nice results, looks like 4ghz with less that 1.3v is the 24/7 sweet spot
I like xeons for their low vcore for most of them I saw around .
but in games , I don't think you should se a difference with penryns E8xxx.
I saw very good E8200's too :)
very promising for further steppings although I think I probably keep mine :p:
yes true .
even with my 3.6ghz 1.14v 24/7 so happy and don't regret my E6600 ^_^
These are some answers from other forums
after stuff like that, i wonder ... is the Xeon 3110 worth going with? that is my concern .. some say its really good ... others say you shouldn't get it ... I want some answers from people that know for sure what they're doing.
I just ordered one, I really can't wait for it!
Then either 8400 or 3110 sdhould be good to go
so if you want a Q9450 , you could also go with a X3350? and it will do just fine?

this is kind of the 1st time intel has this right? that both Xeons and normal Desktop CPU's can fit on the same mobo ?
Edit: it was in stock when I posted. wow
This was the case with the 65nm chips as well. They made Xeons for socket 775 and many people bought those. There was talk that they were higher binned chips but I can't say for sure.
