Funny how some blame the editors for being NVIDIA friendly, those guys are voiding the NDA... and would NVIDIA really support them financially if they have their launch day just in a couple of days, why would they do that for...

It's not about if there's "oc versions of ATi"... You see, reviewers aren't going out and BUYING parts for reviews, they use what they have and/or are sent by manufacturers for review. If they haven't received an OC version of the 3850/3870 but have a standard one, they're going to use the standard one because that's what they have.Quote:

As for dx10.1 and "it's a feature"... It's a feature that means nothing to the end-user. So, having a feature that means absolutely nothing for likely atleast 1 year, possibly 2(and even then, it's for developers and makes practically NO difference to the end user), is a big deal? Especially when it's a feature that even it's creator microsoft has said is nothing to worry about in the slightest. Developers have been downplaying it as well. So I really don't see it being as much as a factor in this round....period.

Having looked at multiple reviews I'm still confused over power consumption as well as performance compared to 3850, 3870 and 8800GT. In some reviews PC is as bad as 8800GT and in some reviews it seems lower than 3850. In some reviews the 9600GT seems to outperform the 3870 and in some reviews it seems to have trouble keeping up with 3850. Doesn't really make purchase decisions all that easy.
