Ack, I had this exact same issue. I run 3 Monitors, a release candidate of SP1 that MS released in January (Think about Jan12) and when entering games sometimes it would cause ALL 3 monitors to go blank and only the mouse pointer was displayed.Quote:

That was running 8800GTX on 169.25 WHQL Drivers. I have since uninstalled SP1 RC, and no longer have the problem.

well I got the final installed it took longer then I expected and hung in the process but at least it finished. Hopefully after a few days I may notice a difference from the rc preview.
Looks like the SP1 for Vista 64 bit is 20mb in total or something?

WIC still takes a **** in Vista. Used to get literally twice that in XP.
Oh well, it'll be a long time before Vista really suits my fancy.
