@ eva2000
My E8500 @ 4.6Ghz + 8800GTS G92 @ 900/1053
look at the CPU Score...
http://www.abload.de/img/3dmark06-06b58.jpg
ATI cards have lower 3dmark06 cpu score at same cpu clock speed compared to Nvidia cards
That's what I'm talking about, nice retail! I hope this is a good sign for the rest of us. :)
i also got a Q740A493 today....i dont know if its the mobo but i believe i have the biggest banana cpu ever..........
also i have a ~10C difference between cores...bad block mounting maybe?
EDIT.....when i worked the maximus with the.5 multi all was good...
it seems to be going around 4050mhz orthos stable with 1.288Vcore...
Also got a 4201mhz pi 1m with 1.3Vcore.
nice one giorgos keep the info going i have one coming on monday
Any Ln2 results? I just got a new container ready for action. ANy reports of cold bugs with these 45nm?
some cpus just have different core temps could be board related
similar to mine so it ain't a banana cpu at all just board issues for you ??? which board you use before maximus ?
no idea never used DI/LN2.. but will put on my Kayl Black FrozenSS 1/4 later - just need to figure out which board to use for it as I want to keep Blitz Formula for my air/water DDR2 testing heh.
i`ll try again to mou t the block and see if there is any difference...
i was using a P5K deluxe George...not available any more...
i suppose i`ve got some multiplier issues...i`ll figure it out though..
only spent about an hour with the cpu so...
finally i ended orthos at 471*8.5 with 1.28Vcore..
4044mhz @ 1.28Vcore orthos stable so far with 22C room temp..
managed many runs of pi 1m at 4345mhz @ 1.35Vcore but i`m feeling sleepy.......
seem similar to both dinos and mine E8500 Q740A493Ts - slightly better on orthos there but i'm reporting 4000mhz at 1.28v for 1-2hrs orthos and i think dinos only do 5-30 mins for 4000mhz at 1.232v.
Hey George , we have exact the same oc results with 1.28Vcore !! :D
I have 4400Mhz orthos stable with 1.49Vcore (W/C) .
Right now , i'm trying to find the maximum FSB and i've stuck at 545 . The mainboard is Maximus Extreme which i'm trying to learn (bought yesterday) and it's a bit tricky to stabilize at high FSB .
Do you guys believe that with the Wolfdale series,Intel has more stable and comparable performance NOT depending on batch numbers etc etc?
at least that`s what i feel..
a run just for fun....

a few more results testing with 1.48V except 01 which is with 1.55..
Aquamark is at 4450mhz.
seems that the problems continue with the maximus...
cannot boot with 1:1 and cannot reach 495-500fsb with any means..
as far as 4600mhz everything is ok with low Vcore ( 1.52V)...
after that the system is fully unstable even with 1.7V....
Nice scores George! As i can see the first official wolfdales are too hot even for w/c.I think that they need subzero temps pretty soon..;)
strange sounds like maximus bios issues maybe ?
i guess it is a bios issue George...further testing to come..
Did some 3D testing today with 1.496Vcore load.
Safe frequency was 4405mhz for the "big" ones and 4504mhz for aquamark..
all of them where one run results BUT the formula problems are still there....
my GT still with the vgpu mod off..:)
weird.. stelios...
managed to gain 1394 pts in 3dmark2003 with higher GPU clock 823mhz vs 796mhz and more memory bandwidth 1:1 vs 4:5 :)

How do you managed to run Aquamark3 with your HD3850 ?
I have a strange problem in the end of the Bench.
The image on monitor go Black and i can't see nothing, no result, no win.
Ctrl+Alt+Del do nothing... or Alt+F4 , or trying to minimize.
Screen stay black all the time.
I´m forced to reset PC to go back to normal
Crazy sh*t
3850 for AM3 delete the dll file in AM3 folder :)
