is this the same one (but 4GB instead of 2GB)

the price looks sexy but i have a feeling that it's not the same

realy nice Price for the 4 GB Kit...
why there are no such sexy prices for DDR3 in Germany? that suxx!
I decided to buy a little Conroe CPU with a high FSB Wall to test my DDR3s over 2000 MHz... I take a look for a E6750 or something
It's awesom memory!
For 24\7 i use 900 7-6-5:

havent read the entire thread :)
But looks quite nice - I'd deff try to set more agressive timings in bios... PL: 5 or 6 should benefit 600-1000MB/s ;)
2V in bios, 1,94 realQuote:
what Voltage do you use for this settings?
D9GTRQuote:
are there D9GTN or D9GTS?

and considering the tests conclusions
Quote:
We set out to see if there was a significant difference between DDR2 and DDR3 memory on both of the Intel P35 Express based ASUS motherboards and found that there really isn't. Right now there is no clear call as to what would be better for gamers and enthusiasts as it depends on your tastes. As with all new technology it will only get better as time goes on and with memory companies hitting ~1,800MHz on the initial 512Mb DDR3 IC's it shows great promise for the new memory type
Quote:
True, on the one hand DDR3 SDRAM cannot take the system performance to another level. The tests showed that the newest DDR2 SDRAM can provide the same level of performance as the currently available DDR3 SDRAM. In fact, the results of our benchmarks indicate an approximate parity between systems equipped with DDR2-1066 SDRAM and DDR3-1333 SDRAM. And since DDR3-1333 SDRAM is not only the fastest memory in the market today, but also the fastest memory that Intel P35 based platforms support, it doesn’t make any sense even for computer enthusiasts who care about every additional percent of extra performance to transfer to DDR3 SDRAM at this time
and keeping in mind that overclocking to FSB's like Nordling had (450Mhz) doesnt need more than DDR2@1066 (1066/4=266*2=533) which means that if you'r not hitting more than 500FSB any RAM speed more than 533 (1066) is pointless and will be slowed down by the CPUQuote:
According to the obtained tests results , neither DDR 3-1333 with the extremely low latency north DDR 3-1600 could ensure unambiguously better speed, than DDR2 memory. Although in some tasks, for example in games, during video coding and in Excel new DDR3 SDRAM shows higher performance, but there is a large quantity of tasks, where the picture is reverse
now can someone please explain for me why do I need DDR3? :help:
note: lets keep the "extreme" chips aside
note2: DDR3@1333 (666) is a little bit acceptable since some chips may go above 530mhz FSB (not with chips like the Yorkfields of course) but higher speed DDR3 is the question here (and DDR3@1333 when aiming for chips like Q9450)
no one needs DDR3 Realy but
you want to have it ;)
DDR3 1800 7-6-5 is a lot faster than the DDR3-1333 CL7 in your test result ;)
Noooo not at all
Regarding DDR2 vs. DDR3
The thing is, DDR2-1200 CL4 is possible, but not guaranteed, DDR3-1800 CL7 is more likely to happen... Now compare the two of them, and keep in mind, subtimings REALLY has a great influence... Performance level can easily do 1GB/s...
Once I get home to my appartment I'll test:
DDR2: 400-420 CL: 3-2-2-4, DDR3: 500-530 CL: 4-3-2-4
With most agressive subtimings, I'll do 32M with each...
Then I'll match the CPU frequency with DDR3, put agressive timings on the sticks as well, and then you'll see the difference ;)
Where i can see it?Quote:
the SN is on the back of the packing
some like XXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXX
you are talking like if there was no price difference
If DDR3 was more expensive….much more expensive…I’ll buy it, but it’s insanely expensive, just not worth it, not the best bang/buck, not even the best bang
I guess it was released too early that’s all, it’s still beta, the final will be in 2009 and that’s when it’ll be much cheaper/better
I miss those days when the only thing used to measure memory performance is the size
Dude1: what RAM do you have?
Dude2: 1GB
Dude1: OMG  what are you doing with these babies, I only have 512MB
dude1: don't forget I'm a graphic designer and I need the best RAM outthere (he means biggest only)
Hah Faster rams, slower chipsets
I dig year an a half old result with i975 and 1:1 ram
Was totally unoptimized run with 24/7 OS and lots of processes
Just comparing performance . . . with post #53

These "DDR3-1333 6-5-5 2048MB Kit" looks real good for the price . .

sub 13min coming soon
32M is nice, but for real stability show some 600+ % dual memtest ;)
very funy that they are rated to 1333 with d9gtr, i don't understand ocz
btw, congrats to the memorys mate :)
It is such marketing course, only the first parties will have such chip. So already was with DDR2Quote:

what goes arround with you?
I know what mem it is , I am the Thread starter -.-
what I mean is that you say D9GTR on 1333 Mem
but 1333 Mem can also be 7-7-7 or 9-9-9
but this is mem is 6-5-5 and that is what you don't find at other 1333 Modules.
The Price is also not so far away from 1600 Mem.
Little Update with 790i ;)

Only 1,9 V set in BIOS
firas,
the stalker test is only showing ddr3 1500 777, most ddr3 kits can run 1800 cas7 and 1900 cas8, which is faster. sure, you wont suddenly see a huge boost of 5fps in stalker, but its faster than ddr2. if the difference is worth the extra money... thats what everybody has to decide on his own...
photoshop cs2, do you notice something with the results?
they are all identical, even ddr2 800 555.
so this is rather a photoshop benchmark showing it doesnt really scale with memory bandwidth, nothing else.
at stock speeds, i actually agree... but when you overclock ddr3 its the way to go... why do you think everybody is benching ddr3 atm?Quote:
DDR3 SDRAM cannot take the system performance to another level
it IS faster than ddr2...
it actually NEEDS less than that, but it DOES scale with more bandwidth :)Quote:

if some reapers have D9GTR and some D9GTN, that kit is definately with D9GTR :D
