Errrr..
If you're asking why not in this price category, it's because X38 has always been intended to be a high-end chipset.

Looks a good board again from DFI.
But the chances of it hiiting uk soon look slim if the DFI LP UT P35-T2R is anything to go by. Only one place has it available :(
Took back my P5Ke for this but looks like its going to be a while for us people in Oz!
ebuyer.co.uk has the T2R.
And, Im in the market to replace my P5B-D.
This could be the board :o
Grrr! Still waiting!
I couldnt be bothered waiting and bought the LP-P35 for $199.
Challenge the limitation of patience waiting for this board to hit the market in "limited" quantities....

From the other thread - ETA 18th Dec
Anyone got it yet? Wanting that color scheme so bad..
Taking pre-sell orders.

Arrived today, sooner than expected. For those concerned about the caps, they are all solid on the board I received from motherboardpro.
All solid....So it isn't the T2R but T2RS don't it?
Some test of mine:
Max fsb with my e6750 (on DFI 965-s it will never raise over 515 stable):

SPI 1M ram settings fast/fast more aggressive:

SPI 32M@4Ghz@1,55V (on DFI 965-s max stable@1,55v was 3,9Ghz)

Really nice main. Thanks DFI
The pictures aren't linked to larger version :(
Waitin on mine as well! Hopefully gonna clock well with Penryn!
Was thinkin of upgradin to this... think its worth it? :P
My P5W is kinda dying on me...
Any results yet? how is the Vdroop?
Bumped the CPU voltage up 100mV

and your post tells us what exactly? nothing i can see.
how to be a troller: and your post tells us what exactly? nothing i can see.

The northbridge has the "warranty void if removed" sticker. Seems a little odd considering the target audience for this board.
I believe the windows smartguardian system temp. to be the same as PWM/voltage regulator. They get hot, mine hit 79 celcius under full load... northbride 54, and cpu 70 at 425fsb x 8. (ambient 21, everything air-cooled)
Stock-cooling leaves something to be desired. I may have to get creative and add some small fans on the voltage regulator heatsinks, etc.

I just ordered mine from motherboardpro last night. Hopefully it will ship today and get here soon.
I'm replacing my DFI p965 board which has been absolutly a blast to use. It has been so far the most stable motherboard I have owned. I will be using it with an e6600 until the new chips come out and the TR-extreme 120. I also ordered an Asus PK5-e but that will be RMA'ed for this :)
