George, YGPM ;)
Thanks,
Nice PSU :D :D based on what you are saying - where can we get the product online.
Bloody hell George. It's about time a proper PSU came out on the market and what makes it better is it's made by someone that would use it and one of us (though you way more extream).
I'd love to get one in the UK but please do not let OCUK get it, they are the doggyest shop.
Can i get one off you now?
Thanks guys...... :)
In a few days that everything will be fixed, I'll upload more details about price.purchase/etc.... :)
I can honestly say I have NEVER seen this happen personally and have yet to see someone verify that this occurred. Pulling enough current through an AC input plug at 115v to melt it seems rather unlikely given a nondefective cable as the circuit should trip before enough current goes through to do this. If the cable is defective that isn't really a design issue ;)
Contact me through my [H] email as I don't do any review related work via PM and I am not always here.Quote:
When we are ready, I'll drop you a PM if you want....and compare THIS PSU with the Seventeam one if you wish.....
:wierd: ...and I thought the 1200w model sounded good and now I read that there is going to be a 750w model eventually too which is even better for my needs  now I'm seriously interested in more details
Thanks for the correction, and the good news!
I wish I knew that when I baught. ;)
I am a sucker for a good PSU. Ya cant build a nice system, and then skimp on the power.
It's just wrong.
By the way, you guy's do have a super looking PSU, and am looking foward to the review.
Looks like she has some fight in her too... ;)
You have a Toughpower 1000W! You didn't do too bad at all!!!
Might was the "inner females" of the cable that didn't make that much contact on the PSU's "males" and did the damage......Also have you ever seen a BROWN coloured 4pin molex connector?.....I meen, it was white but after some time it became brown of the heatage....:D
I'll e-mail you.... ;)
That still is not a design issue or limitation with the cable actually melting; that is someone not seating it correctly. Like I said I have never seen a melted AC plug on a power supply or seen anyone who could verify this happened to them when it was plugged in properly and not defective. Impoper use or material defect is not a design issue/limitation.
ok, not a problem.Quote:
I'll e-mail you.... ;)
Thanks, and I am happy with my choice. It was your web page that helped me to select it. Thanks for doing the most legg work for me.
I think tons of people buy their PSU's based mostly on your recommendations.
A wise man that has faith in ther PSU's, should always send one to jonnyGURU.
It will probably be worth it's weight in gold on the return sales generated, providing it get's your stamp of approvial. :)
Keep up the good work. We are watching.....
Great PSU hipro5  , also interested in internal pics?
p.s. PM me about prices
I'm interested in the 750 as soon as you get them ready. My HX520 could go to the kids then...
Any plans to make this modular? I'm working with a case that is very tall but not much room at ALL to hide things...
Well, I got two 750W Seventeam's with different problems.
Man, the mail company must have been happy with me, paying for all the shipping costs...
Decided going for a bit lower wattage and higher priced unit instead of trying my luck with the Seventeam for the third time.
I hope hipro's 750W unit has better quality and quality control.
I don't know if ST ships their garbage "down here" or if I was absolutely unlucky... :(
If you can, try to make the 750W with a 12cm or 14cm fan. Much quieter than a dual 80mm fan unit.
brown molex... ah good old 80w tec on molex or burned 20-pin ATX header on 440bx days.... ;)
Perfect timing for this PSU, my server just outgrew my 600w powerstream by about 400w.
Any discounts for normal Maximizer customers? My PCP&C bit the dust last month. :stick: Plus, silencer? I don't think so.
Modular sure would be nice. If there is a 750w unit coming out I wish I would have waited on buying my PC P&C 750w Silencer. :p
any idea when the states will be getting these?
As soon as they are totaly finished (packaging boxes/etc).....about early October....:)
