There are a few users that still aren't getting it. It's not yorkfield that's holding your OC back, its your board.
Getting 475Mhz FSB on a quad is AMAZINGLY high on any board, you should be so lucky to even get 450Mhz stable.
Moral of the story, P35 is not the ultimate Yorkfield chipset. And from the looks of X38 (which basically includes X48), we won't have a decent OC chipset for a long time.

Maybe I'm not getting it. Seems to me at this rate that the only worthwhile upgrade from a Q6600 G0 is going to be the QX9650. For a good while anyway. Intel's intention?Quote:

yeah for me too only reason would be to surpass 3.8ghz, I will need at least another 8.5 or 9 multi CPU as I don't intend to run 500FSB to reach my magical 4ghz on water
