yes i am waiting for my 1gb sapphire 2900pro
Guess we will need to reflash with another brand of 1gb xt cards .
I am wondering what memory will be on the sapphire card .

Heh, the 1Gb and the HIS 512 sold out at Newegg already :cool:

Anyone use/try ATI Tray Tools with this bad boy?

Interested if you can now adjust the voltages with the XT bios flash and if it raises the max memory clocks with possibly looser timings? Congrats on a successful flash, might be the leader of a wave of flashes

I just added the 1gb card to the cart and made it 99, it changed it to 6 so the 1gb card is in stock apparently. Really thinking about getting this ....

OK, as for me, my 512MB Pro is coming tomorrow. I'll be flashin' the BIOS and making a guide for ya'll too. Friday or Saturday, my new HR-03/R600 shall come from Jab-Tech and I'll be makin' a stock heatsink removal guide too, which will come in handy if you want to re-apply thermal paste or whatever. :)

maybe try upping your default VGPU of 1.15 a bit ?
Or does changing VGPU with atitool v27b2 only work after you flashed the card to XT .

I have Vista64 and so ATitool doesnt work at all. I dont want to change VGPU or something cause the other also reach 830-850 with 1,15.

Yup, just make a bootable floppy (easy) and put ATI Flash & the BIOS files on there. The rest is similar/same.

Initial thoughts about the card: It hauls ass, except when AA is enabled, but that should be fixed in the next few Catalyst versions.

I did 860/999 in 3D06 on stock air, 68f AMB 100% fan speed @ 1.25v, but when it exited CPU test 2 windows said there was a critical error and wanted me to send an error report. I'm guessing it was cause I pushed by poor brisbane to 3.1GHz but, who knows. At 860/999 it didn't hesitate at all, though.

The XT bios may allow for better clocks on the pro, or better performance depending.... They use different timings on the memory, and whatnot.
