unless u have -130c evap temp with vcore>1.65v
45nm need xs cooling , as I said, -130c pot temp no prob as coretemp about -80c. and vcore only 1.5v.

we are building a R404A/R23/R14 3stage autocascade here.
aiming at -130c in 30min :D

and will try 2compressor 5stage auto-cascade later.
last stage will be Nitrogen Gas filled.
so....comes out LN2 on EVAP :clap:

Ummm...I had -120C evap temps @ 1.75 on a c2d with -110C cpu temp...does that count? :p:

You sure you guys know what you're doing with those autocascades? Really, only a handful of people in the world know how to build and tune one properly. If not, I highly advise against doing it as it can be quite dangerous. You may be better off building a standard cascade.

-130C in 30min is VERY difficult to achieve. I predict that if you are able to do that, you'll have very little capacity or you'll have to use a HUGE compressor and be tuned perfect.....

Now I know you must be joking when you're talking about compressing Ln2. There are units that are able to do that, but they can't hold ANY kind of load whatsoever. Tell me you're kidding....right? :shrug: :D

10kg R23, 6kg R14 and unlimited Nitrogen Gas will allow us to try as much as we want :D

will tell u the results later.
with a normal 2stage cascade, we achieved -134c and no insulation at all :up:

You have to remember this is not a standard ES chip like conroe ES chips that are all around, this is a very early pre-production ES Chip. Retail and later ES ships will surely clock alot better, also better on an overcloking mobo.

seriously vic, I think steven is right I'd be really apprehensive about building an autocasade with gases like that... Especially trying to use nitrogen..... with cascades, especially an auto the pressures are very dangerous and I'd hate to hear of something bad happening. if you do go through with it, make sure to use atleast a pressure cut off and a pressure release valve.

sorry for the OT, and thanks for preliminary results! I always appreciate the information you give the community.

edit: I was just looking and the Critical temp of Nitrogen is atleast -140c....which is way above what you need anyway.... and the necessary pressure at that temp is going to be between 500-550 psi which means you'd need more like -165c or colder to get even close to resonably safe pressures I am sorry if vocalizing my concern in this thread bothers anyone, but using nitrogen in a refrigeration system is just folly, and i feel like a safety concern is worth an OT

I'd look into an ethylene methane blend, should get you close to what you need.
