For those who were asking:
I've seen a willamette on LN2 take 3volts and live and I've seen a northwood take 2.3v and live. You gotta remember that this amount of voltage causes deterioration over time but most LN2 experiements last only 20minutes or so.
As far as LN2 experiences that I have not witnessed personally, I've read about and seen pictures of several with 2.2v and 2.3v on a northwood and the chips haven't died. I'm sure others on these forums who have seen/used LN2 have had similar experiences with P4s surviving these high voltages.
Oh,and on a side note I once accidentally crammed 2.8v through a R300 core and actually played some games before I realized I fuxed my vmod and the screen started artifacting. The core lived. (pelt cooling)

well i guess all the high scores in the orb are not stable 24/7, but reduce the clocks by 5% and its stable, ln2 is something completely different.
I'll put it this way:
The people that downplay a 5GHz screenie are simply jealous.
Dont think for a second that if they had done that themselves (first to 5G), they wouldn't show it off.

Quite simple really, there is no better place to come and get/give info on what hardware sux, what rox, solving problems, advice, interesting conversation with like minded peepz, ETC... The list could go one for quite a while.... Hell I could link to one or two individual threads that are worth the price of admission alone!

Charlie, being impressed, or not being impressed has nothing to do with the indivdual. A screenshot of a processor getting into windows far enough for a screenie at 5 ghz does not impress ME, the current screenshot does not show me 24/7 stability, while it does show at least some kind of stability it still doesn't mean a whole lot.

Ruantic, i agree with you on that but what i cannot agree with are the people that say LN2 does not have its place or usefullness. We all know it does not last long and is deffinently not 24/7 but as long as it can do a short benchmark and break some scores then it has some use and no matter how short that may be it still is somthing.

:confused: i think you got me wrong. i mean maybe opp and jcs scores are not stable for 24/7, but clocked just a bit slower they are. an ln2 score with 2.2v will never ever be stable, that chip probably wont even run @4.3ghz 24/7...Quote:

This is like saying that u wouldn't respect a top fuel dragster because it can't run on streets. You guys are completely jealous. If u had half the nuts u'd do it urself... Don't disrespect somebody like this. LN2 is an excellent form of ocing people only say these things cause they are jealous and pissed that they don't got the nads to try it.. Everyone oc'es there pc a little more to bench this is just on a larger scale.

Well your OPINION is certainly welcome here, however Don't put labels on people you don't have a clue about.... If you think it takes balls to bench with LN2, thats your perogative, However I see no similarities with "nads" and LN2, It doesn't take courage, balls, nads, nutz or whatever you want to call it to overclock a computer :rolleyes: sheesh! All it takes is cash, knowledge, and no worries about destroying hardware....
As for "disrespect" LOL, thats a bit blown out of proportion... Because someone isn't impressed and says so, that is disrespectfull? I think you should practice what you preach, and respect everyone for there opinion, voice yours freely just leave the labels and personal comments at home...

We should be applauding this accomplishment. I mean we are here to try to get highest OC. But i do agree we should take into account if the system can run 24/7 stable.
