The ones for 3.50 were out of stock and the only other ones I've found were the ones at MC and those went for $10 a pop. Money isn't a concern for me, but wasting it is. I'm not sure if I'd be better off with that nickel/brass T as it appears to be much larger. My Horizon is cramped enough as it is as I have to ask Top Nurse (the local elephant was on vacation) to sit on it to even screw on my UFO covers.Quote:

Just did a couple of the MCubed waterproof sensors into a T. Here are some pics. Took quite a while to get the epoxy right - did it in layers. Also used about 2 inches of tubing on the T also.

Did you first only coat the sensors in epoxy, then epoxy into the plastic Tee?
Can you show any pictures of just the sensor coated? I saw this done somewhere else, but all the pictures show the sensor in the Tee.
They come already waterproofed/coated when you buy from MCUBED.
I only had to ensure a watertight fit into the T.

They are digital sensors - the water would not be good for them if they were not coated. As I said this is how they come from the manufacturer - ready for 'dipping'. All you need to do is glue em into a T in such a way thay they don't restrict flow and don't let any water out. I took care not to add any epoxy to the existing coating though.

yar i understand the coating that comes with them, just pointing out(to syn, not yourself) you don't need to coat them anymore :)

Some do and some don't and with 4 different pix of 'digital sensors it gets a tad confusing.

Exactly Jedda. I bought the normal digital sensors and not the "waterproof" ones seen in the picture.
I was referring to this process in this link and thought you did the same.

If you bought the "real" waterproofed ones, then sorry.
I actually ruined one of the normal ones by sticking it into my reservoir top. The little clear plastic coating is not waterproof as I found out the hard way.

I've the digital extension and they're numbered and must match. Since M-cube offer only #2 #3 as waterproofed I'd be throwing two away.
Still don't get the dual leads though.
Find the analogue very fragile.

I use the same temp probe and calibrate it with the digital sensor as well. However, I still always wanted to try to use the mcubed digital sensor as a test anyhow. However, using the palstic Tee was always a turn-off though.
