Are you referring ot the Abit or the Asus? I know the Asus does (and it also has a 0311 bios) but Abit does not have a 0311 bios nor 1T command rate.

Found one thing. Either my KillerNic has just died, or the Abit IP35 Pro is not compatable with it. With the KillerNic installed, my internet speeds are 100-200kbit/sec. With the onboard nic, they are 5-6 mbit/sec. I've tried every set of KN drivers, settings, fresh installs, etc. This could suck.

I will have my P5K-D back from RMA next week so I will be able to do a small comparison. Initial results with the ASUS were promising but a SATA issue was bothering me so XPCGear is sending me a new board. I like the Abit very much so far. The only issues I have are the voltages are off as far as what is set in bios and what is actually measured. If I set 1.5vcore I get only 1.450 (amazingly enough uGuru sees 1.451) and the higher I go the larger the difference. Perhaps a bios update or mod of some sort can correct this. I also wish the P35 chipset would allow for unlinking of the memory or perhaps have dividers like the NForce4 as I would like to be able to run tighter timings without having to pump 2.3+ vdimm into these modules. I know DDR2 memory is cheap right now but I have several sets of Crucial memory I don't want to risk destroying to maintain the high FSB potential of these and future chipsets.
So far the P35 Abit is a winner in my book. I have used many P965 , 680i, 650i, and RD600 boards and none of them are as easy to OC and none could reach 540FSB with little tweaking such as this board. I realize there are boards out there that can better these results but they are few and far between. This is a damned fine board and I am sure there will be improvements as bios updates are released but so far I have no complaints. Again, I won't push my board to extreme limits as some will so there may be some drawbacks for those that do. I have not tried RAID yet so that is the only aspect of this board I can't vouch for. Otherwise the board functions flawlessly (audio, NIC, USB, etc) at the 540FSBx6 and 475FSBx8. Once I do some orthos testing I am going to do the 500FSBx7 and see how that works out.
I need to upgrade me WC (that 43C is idle temp) so if anyone has a great pump for sale CHEAP LMK ;)
sofarfrome:
What kind of wt kit are you using, are you wc the NB,SB and the PVM as well ? If you do what coolers do you use ?
Or do you overclock the system with the otes system as installed?
I WC only the CPU. I also use an 80mm fan pointing to the area above the CPU to cool those chips as that seems to be the only area that "feels" hot. If I touch the otes heatsinks they are all cool to the touch. Even when I was pumping higher MCH into the sytem the sinks didn't seem to feel too warm to the touch. Without the additional fan the PVM temp hovers around 68C under load. Right now I am running orthos at 3.6GHz and it is at 46C. None of the temps seems to be out of the ordinary so since I am going to use this board as my "work rig" I will probably leave everything as it is. The only change I plan on making is a new pump and perhaps a different rad (120.2 instead of the current 120.1)
Well, actually it is because of the 1.52vcore but I still think it could be a little lower at that vcore. Orthos would drive the temps far too high at 1.52 under this set up. I am running orthos right now at 3.71GHz and 1.43vcore and the temps are 65C and I am OK with that but I wouldn't mind seeing it around 59-60C or lower if possible. BUt again, these B chips do run warm.
i am running at 1.52V with a Tuniq HS and my idle is 37C...AND...i have a quad core. (see my sig)
Tomorrow my IP35Pro come to my place......I will test and post result....
Next target Mb...replace my abit Quad GT..:D
3.71GHz orthos, SP2004 doesn't recognize the 3.71GHz OC but CPUz does

out of the box with voltage bumps to cpu/ram/small one to the mch i was able to get this

no matter what mch voltage and even droppng the mulit to 6x with ram 1:1 i cant boot at 500mhz. i can bootup and right into windows at 485mhz, 490mhz+ is a dead bootup. Bios from cpuz says 5/17/07.
if you guys havent seen it yet here is the june 6th bios

Crotale was playing with an FAE modified board, this is MODDED Abit IP35 board.
The current boards are very strong on bus but it only gets better, I cannot disclose the mod as I am not fully sure of details to be accurate.
Crotale has the 1M pi shot, mine was blurred.
World records were broken at Computex. % wise highest OC at the show. 6400 WR
the june bios changed nothing for me. there is still no selection for fsb dividers. if you havent updated to the june bios, DONT.
Hello, who knows of you 100% whether the Gigabit LAN CONTROLLER over PCI or PCI-E are tied up?
Thx
does the thermalright ultra 120 extreme fit this board ok?
