The Veyron features a W16 engine—16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders, or the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 engines mated in a "W" configuration. Actually, it took Intel two years to give up fighting with Microsoft over AMD64 instructions. It took them another two years before they could start their plan to assassinate AMD. What a Core 2 would cost. And they will replace 65nm SKUs with 45nm slowly. Same price. So nothing special for the price. Ofcourse it might just be the topend in the beginning with 45nm.Quote:
