actaully i bet with a modest overclock say 900/1000 the XT will match or beat a stock GTX. also, in COH for minimum FPS the XT beats the GTX by alot in one case, and loses to it in another.

wow all you guys who had the card for a while now and hinted how good it was....u suck!
its a good card but it hates certain settings... the drivers are in the works and these aa and performance problems might just dissappear or become less apparent. wishfull thinking i know...
heres a lost cost bench hopefully the new driver will give me another 20% increase in fps...... come on ati!!!!!!!!!!

The Xbitlabs review has the card being shown in much better light, but still lacks severely behind in a few top games.
i had to use a differant format for the pic and it changed the colour lol..looks like 3dmark06 results on acid lol........... anyway i'm hoping amd sort out the drivers.......

Interesting review. I wonder if reattempting this same test setup with Vista X64 would make any differences. I think when it comes to comparing 8800's to X2900's in XP 32-bit has become a bit like :horse:
The 2900XT hasn't come into its own yet. While I do have the 1GB version, I never expected my 2900 to best an 8800 GTX. However, I did think it could beat the 8800 GTS. Oh well, as long as it is > 60 FPS, it's no big deal.
