Performance is the same between the 2/3 barb versions. The 2-barb version has a tweaked inner chamber to facilitate better flow.

You could stick a blue led in it if you wish. I won't provide a hole for you, but the top polycarb plate is 10mm thick, of which 2mm is taken up by the O-ring, so that would give you 8mm of thickness to drill into and stick some LEDs in. I'd do it from any side except the side that has the outlet barb on it.

Actually the fact that it's clear is somewhat important. It allows a visual check to see that the jet tubes are aligned with the holes when clamping the block together, so the clarity does serve a function, rather than merely just for looks.

Small update.

I'll do separate polycarb top-plates for P4's or AMD's and this keeps the price down for the P4 boys.

For the "swingers", the aluminium plate can be used on the AMD block to convert to P4 mode.

Nice design in so far as water cooling goes, Cathar.

Wish I thought of implementing something like it myself. :D

Still nailing down the price of production. It'll be more expensive than the DTek WW that's for sure at the present Aussie dollar to USA dollar exchange rates.

edit: I missed getting a WW when you were hand making them. I don't intend to make the same mistake twice! But I'd just as soon get a set and pay one shipping charge if I can do it that way.:slobber: A inspired design job sir!:toast:

Thanks for the heads up, I missed where he'd said to use his profile e-mail addy for ordering these blocks. Has he given indications of when he'll be ready to sell the NB & GFX Cascade type blocks?

NB block most likly will add little compared to reguler water blocks, but the GFX I think may well offer better overclocks compared to other blocks on the market. There's no White Water version of the GFX to compete with the Cascade so it should show REALLY strong compared to others on the market. Only question is by how many C it will be better!

I'd just as soon order a set if the GFX & NB will be ready soon. But I sent him a e-mail anyway as I'm not going to miss on this one. I can order the other blocks later if need be.

Yeah...I don't usually get too excited about new blocks, as I cool mostly with Phasechange hardware, but this one is a must have. :D

currently using a MCW462-U with 3/8 to 1/2 stems... (not the UH with 1/2 plastic barbs)

Performance of MCW462U is pretty average, pretty much same as the 6mm C5, and maze II

Cathar said early testing showned C5 to be 7 degrees higher than Cascade using BurnK7 1.85V/2400MHz... so u can see my hopes are pretty high
