I don't have a floppy drive and for some reason the EZ-Flash just does not work with my PNY usb stick(atache 1 gig) so has anyone actually successfully flashed the 0908's using the asus update program?

0908

Speedfan 4.32 beta 8 shows my cpu temp as -32 to -34. It also shows individually cpu1 and cpu2 at +2 deg. each, same as everest latest (everest only shows the "fixed" +2deg each and necver chnages. MBM5 shows -32-34 deg also. TAT shows both cpu's at +2deg each. My vapochill CC utility OSD in my system tray shows -48 deg, same as the vapo lcd. The speedfan and MBM temp readings for the combined cores does fluxuate with load, so it's probably the closest to actual that you will be able to monitor without using a digital probe. Als the bios will read and vary after a while in the minus 30's temp if I go into the bios under hardware monitor and watch it for a while. This seems in line with the MBM and Speedfan readings.

Same here. Bios, speedfan and MBM5 show subzero temps. Probe reads 255 for 0 and you have to count down from there, TAT and coretemp are fixed at +8 in me case.

What I don't get is if MBm5, a program that hasn't been updated in years can read minus temps on the cpu, then uh h h . . . what is missing in this picture?

How did you get your hand on SF 4.32b ? :)

mbm5 shows minus temps on other conroe boards also uincl 975 boards, plus I am not using the updated p5b config. just an old Asus p800 config..

Yes, the JMicron controller (JMB363) controls the single SATA port near the back of the board and the single PATA/IDE connector.

I would update to a beta bios if it fixed the double restart on cold boot issue.

I don't see how else they could change boot strap without doing that.

Since nobody was willing to give a simple yes or no... I decided to upgrade from 0804 to 0910. I'm glad to say that 0910 upgrades the JMicron bios to 1.06.59. Now I can finally use grub to dual boot: linux from a SATA drive connected to SATA1 (ICH8) and windows on an IDE slave drive off the JMB363 controller. :banana:

well there you go. Could I boot a sata dvd writer drive from that sata plug. I wonder if 0908 updates it as well?

Could anyone help me , give me a new link because one which post in the first post don't work.

And i have other problem. Somy days ago i update my bios from 0711 to 0908 and i want to came back to 0711 but the asus flash utility don't allow me from windows, ane one could help me!!!???:d

The update utility for windows has an option tab where you can select a checkbox named "BIOS Downgradeable". Afterwards you may flash 0711 again.

Don't you have a memory stick that you can put the bios on and flash from well the bios?

man...2 months later, and I'm still on 0711. :)

seems like 0804 and now this one still don't have any major improvements.

Where can i get de new bios 0910? beacuase i'm trying to get from the mirror which was posteed in the frist post and it doesen't work :s :s
