before my board wouldnt pass 1.25vstable with my chip, after it passed 12hr orthos. Usually had to give it 1.275v for a 400x8 now it runs like a charm on 1.25vQuote:

I just flashed to it. Haven't noticed any differences. So I guess I'll keep it.

flashed 0908... took down my computer for about an hour (longest offline period in its life)... my guess is the voltage and timing doesn't match up with my Crucial Ballistix... took a couple reset and switching ram sticks/slot to get it booted up first time on this BIOS..... now up and running with the same config as 0804... didn't affect or increase overclockability..
and it DIDN'T fix my PCI-E 1x issue.... well... took so much trouble to get it working.. im sticking with this BIOS for a little bit more.....
With 908 I seem to be able to OC my 6800 @ 3.6 with less volts.
Before I had to use 1.5625 to be Prime95 stable @ 3.6, now I'm stable at 1.4875.

just tested it and didn't find any improvement in OC....
although i did find that when system fans are on optimal it doesnt turn them up....i have a couple 12cm fans and they stayed at 800 rpm all the time idle or load, while with the 0804 bios they go up when the system is on load, so i went back to 0804

Well.....it seems to have corrupted my RAID after uping my OC to 3.5 to 3.6.
I had to do a Windows Repair Install after going back to 804.

Didnt seem as stable at 4:5 memory. Went back to 804 as I did not see any improvements and 804 seems more solid.
I went from 0804 to 0908 beta, and the 0908 fixed my cold boot problem with windows xp x64. With 0804, whenever I cold-booted, windows froze at the boot up screen after 7-8 blue bars, and had to presse the reset button to get into the windows. With the 0908 bios, that problem is gone now.
I can't really say how it affects OC because I only OC'ed my e6300 to 2.8ghz. But, for some reason, the system feels more responsive after the bios upgrade.
WELL....I'M STILL HAVING CORRUPTION ISSUES after reverting back to 804!!!
Looks like it may be time for a reformat and reinstall.......MAN I HATE THIS :banana::banana::banana::banana:!
