OCZ Graphics Cards

Heck, even BFG's watercooled card is stock clocks...nV is clearly very staunch with the G80 clocks. Will be interesting to see what OCZ can do with this, especially for those of us that don't use stock clocks (probably everyone reading this thread, heh) :)

doesn't matter the user can't overclock it higher than on air cooling.

They can probably make a naming scheme similar to what G.Skill did with TCCD; 4400LA, LB, LG, LE, LF, FF - all the same speed rating, but all different max clocks.

do what you can to stabilize the voltage as much as possible. the Extra money would be worth the better overclock :D

I'd like to see somthing other than a reference design. I don't want to see another generic card like MSI or PNY if you catch my drift.

Designing your own PCB is going to be expensive, and probably inferior to reference design anyway.

but you can still tweak stock PCB for more performance.
Such as better caps, tighter tolerances

im excited for whatever they do.

I hope this works out well for the OCz guys! They certainly are spreading out latley, i hope that they remain active in the community.

There are no set standards AFAIK for any manufacturer nor maximum capacitance of capacitors used for power filtering for reference design.

Edit: since they are going to make their own PCB, they could probably get it shielded (like BP808 PCB). This is going to increase the complexity (+ layers) of the PCB, and probably improve stability a little.

Maybe OCZ can't bin seperately the BGA's chips or the Core itshelf BUT it can "pre-test" the cards (we all know that a year or so now only one manufacturer produces cards as for NVIDIA AND for ATI and companies stic up their own stikers ;) ) and shell "normal" ones and "GOOD" ones.......NOBODY does this for us......EVEN IF they charge a bit more for the "good" ones, they worth it coz some employ/ies will spent their time and OCZ's time and money for paying them to do so, so as to give us those "good" / "better" ones......;)
