slightly enhanced settings for super pi, as it's easy on the board, read delay of 6 at 455 fsb and tighter tras and more aggressive refresh mode select..

Nice results.
You will get much better Pi results if you run 4:5 or 2:3. Memory speed is generally more important in Pi than FSB.

Also, most people here run Orthos at Priority to 9 instead of 1. You can also try 10, but that may cause a freeze-up.
Thx Sierra,
It's tricky getting some ram stable for 24/7 use over 1050mhz (I tend to stick to stuff that normal users can repeat easily without over pushing anything for 24/7), I genrally stick near Orthos results and don't go over too much. I leave the superpi tweaking to the masters;)...
I can run priority 9 when I'm not using my pc, but when using the pc, it slows down everything too much...
I will leave it on 9 tonight if you like..

Raja
I'm sure your rig is stable.:) Priority 9 is generally more stressful than 1.
Looks like the bios has made a really big difference.
Question to you guys. Would I have any issues running the Corsair Dominator memory at 1066 with this board? I was thinking of getting it and playing with it while I RMA my 680i (floppy controller is borked up).
Thanks.

You need to try 64us refresh rate when in 1:1, if you need the bios let me know ASAP as I leave tomorrow.
T
is the bios posted on dfi-street or is there a link here to download the bios? lmk I've got one showing up tomorrow for some fun :D
No multiplier adjustment, not even with my ES.Quote:

This board is really looking up :)

this was taken live with orthos running at priority 9, dunno why but the memory cpu-z screen has come out borked actual cas is 4, trc is 16 and tras is 12, 1:1 so 910 mhz or so...
Obviously due to the heavy load, cpu-z did not open or register properly...
I have to take the screenshot live as otherwise it's easy to move the priority over when it's idle thus making a fake..

that would be nice.. waaa.. I miss my board.. :)
go go go raju.. :rocker:
just got hold of the bios that Tony opened up and I'm testing with rms 64us now. Cas 4 on old timings with rms 64us (455fsb) won't boot. I can loosen the timings and run cas 5, no probs (running Orthos blend as I type this). I may fiddle with drive strengths and secodary timings tonight to see how far I can go with cas 4 and good performance. Bottom line I guess the new revision is better geared for the tighter more aggressive memory timings. I'm happy to stick with the older board for now though until I see how much more the newer revision can take. A simple nb mod to 1.85 gives spectacular results..

raja,
good results mate - keep pushin it :toast:
It's so easy to overclock with this new bios that it makes a person look better than they are..lol..

ok with this Tony modded bios vnb at 1.75 and 445fsb @ 4-4-4-12 - rms at 64us, read delay 6, you can boot up but Orthos will fail. I think more vnb will solve it, but that means modding the board, which is not something everyone wants to do... I can run at vnb 1.85 if you guys wish..
Hopefully someone will have a new board soon and clue us up with some results...

At last! This is what the board needed. Nice results and great news to the DFI 975x owners. If any left... :)
well my board showed up today from newegg, but it's the old rev :(, I should have some results in a day or 2 though
raju, run at nb 2.0v for pete's sake, thats where 975x shines my friend. ;)
I want to see how far she goes on 2 :)
maybe I can try 2vnb next week..
Going to dreamhack tomorrow. Hopefully i will be able to use a cascade on my 975x/g motherboard to max it out. :)
I will se where im maxing out.
Is there any easy voltmods, just in case :)

there you go, pretty easy, I'm gonna use a grabber and ground to a couple fan headers to test it out and see how it does in a few min's, :D
hey raju what NB cooling do you have? 2v isnt a good idea on stock.

(I already know there's not much between 1.85 and 2v as I've tried it on my older board btw)
I have a thermatake extreme spirit II, and extra 90mm fan at full blast aimed at the nb, temps never range above 42 degrees at 1.85 and that's when the ambient is around 22 degrees..
My Striker Extreme has arrived so I dunno if I'm gonna have time to do anything else now....

I RMA'd one of these straight across for a p5b-d. Any tests with a lower multi C2D? I'm curious as with the previous bios I was only able to hit 320 fsb stable with my E6300, where it will go past 550 on my p5b-d.
