Very very nice results!!!! Makes me want one! :)
OMG i want one to havent had an Intel CPU for ages.... but this... hope the Athlon64 will be good or AMD is done for. Great results!
*stickied*
I dont have anything useful to say, except that this IC7 rocks.
best board of 2003 so far imho... I adore it.
I completely agree. Awesome stuff!
Nice Luck man, "that's all it is with intel luck, sometimes you get a good chip, sometimes you get a dorrito"
I see your using tecs there. and I would assume they are the 226 on the swiftech mcw5000-p and the 80 on the mcw50? What are you using to cool these units? and what are you using to power the tecs?
I have the non tec versions of those block that I just received today hopefully they will do the job for me. I have to modify them as I don't like the quick 1/2 fittings on them. I prefer the 1/2 barbs style fittings.
I hope the Epox Canterwood board comes out with some stufff. I like the underdogs in this motherboard madness
im not really impressed with it.:(Quote:

Here's my results with a lowly 2.53Ghz/533FSB CPU @ 3050Mhz. It should give people an idea what they can expect if they don't get as high of a FSB.

I love this mobo. You can literally push any CPU to its limit.
You can run almost any FSB from 100-300!!! or 400 to 1200 Quad-pumped!!
Abit has a really nice package here. Everything was designed well from the packaging/box, to board layout & BIOS. Abit has a winner.
I've been back & forth from Abit to Asus recently (as you can see from my systems on my webpage) But currently, I'm back on Abit's boat.
ahh I am going crazy waiting for my IC7 and 2.4c Should be here on Wed. Can't wait. I hear Canterwood goodness calling me!:D
Chrisf6969,
Welcome to XtremeSystems, nice system.
FUGGER,
How is your rig doing ....More to the point, is the IC7 non G as good as the G...and do you have all the same voltage options??
which is the best i875 so far fella's,and please be objective!..Although i do like the IC7!
I think the IC7 is a very good and stable board.
With the 1,1 bios the bug with the timings is gone. The only 2 things are, that the 3:4 divider is not working correctly and the high CPU temp readings but both things should be fixed I heard in the Abit forum.
Tomorrow my 2.6C arrives then I can test some high fsb.
Also good board sould be the MSI one. The cheap version is a little more expensive than the IC7, but you get onboard lan.
From Asus you can only get the expensive deluxe version at present.
These are my three favorites. Which one the best is, is hard too say. About everyone of these you read about some little problems. With all three boards you can see some high fsb scores around 280-300.
I should have all the same voltage options as long as the bios rev is the same unmodded.
I do not expect to keep this IC7 much longer.
MSI has released a updated BIOS that works..
So far I like the IC7 most. It is only a tic slower than the Asus, but can be had much cheaper.
The MSI sounds nice, but I keep seeing a good number of these boards self destructing in the forums....that's kinda scary. And there are many who say the board is unstable in general. But, if they finally get the BIOS right, as FUGGER has mentioned, perhaps I might consider the MSI. Although the MSI board has been less than impressive out of the gates, it does look like it could have good potential.
so what kind of mem are you guy's running? My twinmos craps out at 208 2-6-2-2. I have it now at 266fsb mem 2.5-6-3-3 / 5:4 but would much rather be running the former. I just thought I would order some hyper x but not sure if some OCZ elddr might suit me better. Also I wish this damn vddr would overvolt and not undervolt. I set 2.8 and get 2.75!
otherwise I am loving this setup. My 2.4c has yet to need more volts. Running at 3187 (266x12) is always fun! Wonder when I'll hit the ceiling.
Nice MoBo
Nice AlkemiX what are you cooling that 1.8 with? I'm going to build another rig with P4, and am confused as what to get. I'm budget, so no C, but maybe 2.4B, however; when I see a 1.8 do 3.6 my head spun around like Linda Blair's! Of course this is the exception to the rule is it not?
I know the 1.8A's are screamers, but what's the odds of getting one which will reach beyond 3GHz? Then again what are the odd's of getting a 2.4B that will reach beyond 3GHz?
My 1800 C1 stepping is cooling with home made waterblock & water @10°C ;)
*Working ass off and about to get 2.4C + IC7/IS7*
Nice work ! You beat my score in 3dmark2001 as well .. :)Quote:

I'm going to have to pedal faster ..
:D

Have you boys seen the slating the IC7 gets at THG?
He's rumoured to be a bit biased, maybe thats an understatement.....
