I spent almost 1.5 weeks everyday...tried all combinations in bios and still found a few new combo that worked:)
After ran almost all 975X boards on the retail market, I can say that this BFG 680i board is the most challenging and fun to oc.

this might sound like a dumb question....but I owuld like to know who all has a computer case with 3pins for the power led...and have gotten it to work with the 680i board? if you have how did you do it?
Try the settings I posted. Also try using only one of your 2GB kits. You should be able to drop your vdmm a bit too then. FSB voltage should handle 1.5v and northbridge may need to be increase to 1.5 or 1.55v typically the system raised the northbridge and other voltages by itself when set to auto and running high FSB. Only my BFG required an setting of 1.55 northbridge and that was @ 1850 and above. The Evga ran with everything set to auto except vFSB up tp 1865/465FSB.Quote:

I guess i am going to have to get a new power supply to get where i need to be but i thought these conroe's were supposed to use less power.
Looking into this one

Could you take a pic and let me see? I hate to modify my case wiring for 1 mobo...just wanting to see how hard it is...:toast:

Yes, I have tried unlinked and linked:sync and am unable to hit 400fsb.
Meanwhile my dominator is running nicely @ 400mhz 4-4-4-10 1t.
But right now i am stuck @ 1400-1500 fsb and everything after that is hit or miss.
What does it usually mean when you overclock and windows boots, loads and then freezes in windows?
?not enough vcore?

Your PSU should be fine. I use the same psu on my testbed. It did 3DMark06 with 7900GT's SLI & a 7900GS over 4 hours orthos stable.Quote:

where do you get the temp bar in the top right of your desktop
________
Essential vaaapp
That's everest. When it's running you can set the utility to dsiplay various temps, voltages, & Fan RPM's in the box & on the taskbar. Not good to run during Pi, or when trying for MAX 3DMark06 score, etc though.Quote:

well, ive spent some time on this board and no dice here.
I am on quad core, so I dont know how different that makes it... but I cant push anything higher than 320ish
Im in 680i hell.
on a side note, memory does well.
Yes, means your close, and usually you can get there with a voltage bump.Quote:

BTW I am now @ 350(1400) fsb x9 @ 3.15ghz stable. So my chip is average but my board seems to be very below average.
memory running great @ 400mhz 4-4-4-10 1t
