Nice board out there
Bad price out there :(
i'm waiting for abit and dfi 680i boards; i want sli; i want to overclock....too much tinsel and crappy hps on asus striker for me.
check out the dfi 680i thread for dfi 680i pic...it looks a bit light on the chipset heatsinks. abit at least has a decently large looking hs on one of the chipsets.
coolalers tests re this abit in9 look convincing to me.
'kin heatpipes allright; kin waiting for 'kin decent 'kin choice for my 'kin shopping; how much more testing do they have to do on these 'kin boards b4 i can get my 'kin hands on them? i'm sick of this amd 3500 p o crap already!
let's see now; shopping for: e6400, gskill6400hz2gig, sli mubbberboard - only i cant get one...
(silverstone zeus850 + second 8800gts as sooon as i have bashed out my common sense brain cells.)
still waiting.....i think i need another hobby besides obsessing over pc hardware :/
might get away with 600w with 8800gts sli
any word on this board?
wow... the heatsinks are soldered to the motherboard

Hmm...your source? I don't want to believe it =PQuote:

The Molex connector on the Abit Max was actually an output not an input (at least that's what I thought I read in the manual, it's for fan's etc in the upside down motherboard mounting cases), I'd expect the same with this board...

Looks a nice board but ill stick wiv my rd600!

i'm still hangin out for this board.... the dark side indeed...must have good PWM - the voltage / stability thing is the main reason i am looking at this board - what is max vcore? any1 know?
I am used to dfi's sweet sweet power / stability. Asus options leave me in a cold sweat in this regard. Wish i knew more about this ABit board - i wanna know the voltages
QFT! Asus = :slapass:Quote:

The only crappy thing about this ABIT board is that there is no way you will be able to get a waterblock on the SB with one of the fasteners directly under the graphics PCB like that... what where they thinking?
Crotale is testing this board right now:slobber: :slobber:

Nice 1
Anyone know when this board is expected to land? Mid Feb most likely? I like the 6 Sata's.. :)
supposed to be out next week in Europe.
I`ve had this on pre-order for weeks from UK store, for £234.00. ETA is 08/01/07, but i wouldn`t count on it, this date changes nearly every week.
Would be great to get a firm release date for a change, i`m sick of waiting for this .
customer :stick: ABIT
maybe they need more oompha-loomphas in the abit factories :p:
would tt big typhoon overhang the edge of this abit board? - i think so (122 x 122 tt bt)
scythe ninja (110 x 110...x150high) may just fit in my inverted case (but i'm going off a scaled photocopy of the abit board...!lol!) ninja overhangs board edge by 3mm...tuniq tower 108 x 133 - 2mm extra space.
my current xp-120 should fit with hpipes facing far right edge of the board and the bulk of the hs fins over hanging the motherboard heatsinks - would be good for airflow over mobo sinks.... unfortunately 120 not the bestest hsink around...this would be much easier if didnt have this inverted case!!!...or just went for water :(
